This was a weekend trip to see the MotoGP. This place has a superb location being opposite the terminus of the tramway. The circuit is at the other end so this has to be one of the most civilised ways to go bike racing - no traffic queues and no car park scrambles. Easy to find from the motorway.
The hotel is fairly basic and does hike its prices for the race weekend - our Sunday night was half the price of Friday and Saturday but this seems standard practise in Le Mans.
My room was clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable. Furniture is sparse to say the least and the shower curtain wraps itself around you at every move! My only real gripe was the lack of a reading lamp - it's almost impossible to read in bed so take your own torch!
The staff were excellent - we seemed to be the only Brits there but the staff spoke excellent English and were only too pleased to help. Mislaid room cards were replaced with a smile and nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was no feast but at €5 not overcharged either. All bread and pastries were fresh and there was plenty of coffee and juice.
We'll definitely book in here for next year's race weekend.
