As part of our to trip the 24 hours of Le Mans last week, a group of us decided to try a set menu in Le Mans city centre. It has a very central location, with a decent sized seating area outside; unfortunately it wasn’t warmed enough for us.
At €14.50 the set two course dinner was very good. Brilliant chicken Caesar Salad, melon & ham, and herring salads. All four of us took the peppered steak, with a very garlicky dauphinoise and baked tomato. Now whilst this isn’t the culinary north face of the Eiger, it was executed very well.
The service was acceptable, if a little slow and a few things had to be asked for that had been ordered...but nothing that was a major issue.
Four hungry blokes fed for under €60 + drinks. Pretty good.
