We so enjoyed our visit to La Chamade.
The interior in this timber framed medieval building bridging the old and new towns of Le Mans is quite amazing. Being a warm and sultry evening we chose to eat on the terrace.
Our experience that night left us feeling relaxed and satisfied. This was in part due to the professionalism of the waiting staff and in part due to the good value set menu.64euros for two including wine and coffee.
However, be warned that my fish dish was served in a typical buttery regional sauce which could have been a little more delicate in execution, but hey, this is a personal preference and by no means a criticism of the cooking............ when in Rome.......
If I am ever in Le Mans again, I will be sure to make a reservation at La Chamade.
