We stayed at the Hotel Pasino in Le Havre at the end of June 08. The hotel is a bit of an eyesore as its mainly a concrete block, but inside its lovely. The main reception area is bright and spacious with two restuarants and the casino. The hotel also has a bar and another restuarant on the 2nd floor. All the rooms are on the top floor which is a short ride in the elevator. The room was modern but comfortable. There is also free WI-FI which is great and very simple to access and set up. The bathroom had a huge bath and shower. There were plenty of towels, robes and toiletries. The reception staff were very helpful even though not all of them spoke english. We decided to have breakfast one morning of our stay as it was about £12.50 each, we had a choice of fruit, yogurt, fresh bread and jams, pastries, cereals, toast and you could have cooked items on request, on the whole it was very filling but there could have been more choice of cereals. The hotel was about a 15 minute walk from the ferry port and about 20 minutes from the beach. We dined in the Brasserie restuarant which was very good.
