“nice and well equiped”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

A very nice Hotel with modern rooms and spacious bathrooms , in a good position in order to park easily and go to center on foot! Clean and well equiped room, marvellous breakfast with a variety of breads, fruits, excellent french cheese, jams , yogurts....even organic! etc. As I am vegetarian I was fully satisfied! Service very good and friendly.

Stayed for one night on route back to England. Easy to find. Check in staff very efficient and very helpful. Hotel situation is excellent for walking around Honfleur. Rooms good size and very comfortable. We had room at front of hotel with great view of the bridge. Not bothered by traffic noise. Fee of ten euros to park car at rear of hotel- well worth it as metered parking elsewhere.
Would recommend.

With very few choices of accommodations that have parking in Honfleur, we were very happy to find this place. Modern, clean rooms and quiet (our room faced the back of the hotel). Did not take the 14 euros breakfast because we opted to have lunch in nearby Etretat. Had a fantastic dinner at Cote Resto near the church the night we were there.

Good hotel with secure parking in the heart of Honfeur. We stayed in a rear room overlooking the car park that was very quiet. Front rooms have the views but face the road.

Staff were welcoming and efficent and helped us with booking at a local restaurant on a busy Friday evening.

The Mercure Honfleur is exactly as is pictured on their site. The hotel is close to the harbor, excellent shopping (ATMs) a market with a very good wine selection but also very “French hours of operation!” and walk-able to assorted other outside activities. Inside the hotel there is no real lobby / sitting area, but there is a computer desk area. There is but one elevator, so ask for a lower floor room if you need to haul bags. The rooms are definitely for sleeping only. There is just enough room for two adults, very little hanging room and no shelf / drawer space, so prepare to live out of your suitcase. There is a cute little fridge in the room, though – and the bathroom has plenty of room and water pressure. The staff is very helpful, friendly and hospitable! Breakfast is very European (coffee is excellent). American visitors should bring their own artificial sweetener.

Room Tip: Pick a room on the front (street side) if you plan to keep the windows closed. The back side of the...

Stayed for one night whilst on a driving holiday. The hotel is of a usual Mercure standard, nothing more, nothing less. The 10€ charge for parking the car in the secure rear gated car park was also reasonable and gave me peace of mind, ( although I doubt that Honfleur is a hotbed of criminality anyway..!)
On returning to the hotel at night my partner and I opted for an Irish coffee each. When paying he bill in the morning we found we were charged a staggering 21€ for the them. The coffee wasn't even fresh and came out of a machine...!!( We were in central Paris some six weeks earlier and were charged only 18€ and considered that extortionate...!)
The breakfast was the only disappointment. We were charged 14€ each for very poor attempt at breakfast. There was a hot option of bacon, sausage and scrambled egg.. I say hot... But it wasn't at all hot. Neither were there any eggs left..! The female restaurant assistant kept coming out of the kitchen and lifting the lid on the hot plate and surely should have noticed that a) there were no eggs in there... And b) that the bacon and sausage was stone cold...!! As she was doing such a great job of lifting the lid, she did it on at least three occasions, we were sure that fresh food would be on its way... It never came. So toast it was... Which I had to make myself in the toaster provided.. So 28€ for two pieces of toast and a coffee was not at tall good value..
All in all, he room was clean, sizeable and serviced to a high standard. Public areas were also ok but having experienced he bar and breakfast issue I very much doubt if I would use he Mercure, Honfleur again.. Sorry, but you let yourselves down.

Have stayed many times before in this and Le Havre Mercure hotels. I thought that the room furnishings in Honfleur were looking a little tired and in need of replacement. Seats etc were scuffed. Otherwise clean with efficient and friendly service as usual.
