In summer time our extensive garden is open for cream teas, a full meal or just a beer! We cater for children, and those who have smaller appetites. We have just started our pets’ corned with the introduction of Buttercup and Bluebell (Giant English Rabbits). We are happy to welcome owners and well behaved dogs to our garden. Colleen and Bob look forward to welcoming you to The peace and Plenty one mile from the centre of rye Now the Peace and Plenty also have 3 LUXURY BED AND BREAKFAST ROOMS, check out the pictures on our website.

“Delicous meal, great setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

We were driving past and decided to stop, as it looked attractive from the outside. So pleased we did, the food was delicious and very good value. We had only come in for a light bite, but ended up having a roast (there was a smaller portion for our children) and even squeezed in pudding as well!

The decor was very attractive and everywhere looked clean.

Outside, there were pet guinea pigs and other animals to keep our children amused.

A great discovery.

“Lovely evening, lovely food, lovely decor.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

My wife and I went here to see Alain singing. What a great place, lovely and enchanting as you go in the front door, but greeted by the owners and ade to feel like one of the family. Food was great and of good quality. Nothing was to much trouble fr them. With about 22 paces it makes the evening special, and with Alain doing his smooth singing it made a fab evening. Worth a visit. I can see why they have high reviews.
Well done.will see you again.

“Good food in a cosy venue on a cold, dark November evening.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012 via mobile

Coming in to the Peace and Plenty on a cold November evening, we were cheered to find a welcoming log fire. There is an adequate choice on the menu, with the possibility of smaller portions if you don't have a huge appetite. We both had fish, which was delicious. We would have welcomed a greater variety of vegetables, but perhaps this is available with other dishes. Overall, a good experience, and as we live locally, we shall return.

“They done it again!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012 via mobile

Christmas 3 course meal plus coffee and yummy hot mince pies. Wonderful evening, amazing steak dinner and a brandy sauce that had a good old kick on our xmas pud. We took our 19 month old son who should I say is at a little monkey stage. Hes dinner was a perfect size and even Bob came out from the kictchen with it a little earlier than the rest as he could hear him wanting to get out of his high chair and play!!! Colleen gave him a toy to play with and constantly asked if the kids were ok. 3rd visit now and hats of they did it again!! And that was give us a fab evenibg. Amazing food in a homely feel atmospher. Nothing ever too much trouble. Just love the place....

“One of the Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012 via mobile

We were looking last minute for a place for our family of 10 to eat as a surprise for our Mums birthday. My sister and I searched the internet and found Peace & Plenty and after looking at the menu decided this was the perfect place for us! The variety on the menu ment there was something to suit everyone in our party (which, trust me, is difficult to find)! We called on Saturday afternoon hoping for a table that evening and that wasnt a problem at all. We travelled from Ashford, Kent and found the location very easy to find, also the outside of the building was lovely with fairy light and festive decorations (being near xmas). Once inside we were greeted by Colleen who was very welcoming, we were seated & drinks ordered. The restaurant had a very cosy & intimate feel and Colleen was a great host! Not forgetting the food.... Absolutly gorgeous! The best steak ive ever tasted! All 10 of our party enjoyed every course, hats of to Bob who cooked all the food fresh to order single handed! Very enjoyable evening thanks to the Peace & Plenty - we have already started to make plans to visit again, and next time will be trying out the beautiful B&B aswell.
