“Great Meal!”

Very nice experience, the ambience quite tranquil and the food top class. Service exceptional. We loved the food we had and wine to match was perfect. My husbands dessert an apple chocolate and caramel dish was to die for!

“A slice of heaven!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

We had arrived early to visit Claude Monet's house and garden so by noon we were feeling hungry. I'd read reviews of this restaurant and although it was the furthest away from the gardens, we decided to make the effort! The walk to the restaurant from Claude Monet's house was in itself very charming, passing lovely houses and gardens and a cornfield to reach Jardin des Plumes. We arrived before they were really ready to serve lunch but the staff made us feel welcome. We sat in the lovely garden by a pond for a short while and were then offered aperitifs in a drawing room to the side of the main restaurant. All very sedate! We chose a 3 course menu du jour which cost about 30 euros. We were not disappointed in anything- even the bread and butter served was unique and so flavoursome; every course was served with enthusiasm and variety by a young well managed staff. The tranquillity and elegance of the whole experience will stay in my mind for a very long time.

“Pas (No) de l'entente cordiale”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

We arrived at this nice looking hotel/restaurant having been turned away from another establishment for no reason. We were well dressed speaking fluent French and asked if a table was available. The usual question 'have you booked?' was replied to with 'je suis desole' (I am sorry) however seeing how many tables were free all around the garden, some laid up and others not we asked if they could squeeze in another 2 persons - also mentioning that we were restaurateurs in England. Back came another 'je suis desole' by an arrogant female who seemed to be a head waitress. So off we went to Restaurant Baudy where we got a fabulous welcome and were treated like old friends - despite the fact they were full and were rushed off their feet.

“Good Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

Very nice restaurant. Food was good, but a bit limited on choices.
A couple of substitutions were made for certain items which was a bit disappointing as we had looked at the menu during the day.
Food is of good quality but we did think it was a little on the expensive side.

The service could not be faulted, all of the staff were excellent, the wine waiter was very knowledgable.
