Loved the architecture of the "Descent into War" section. Didn't know as much about the European front as the Pacific front before and this museum had history from the end of WWI to the end of the Cold War. Didn't do the tour but managed to eavesdrop on one that was amazing in her knowledge and even made connections to the American experience to make the different exhibits relevant to the American tourists she was guiding. Sadly not every had English translation but there weas enough. We walked through the museum until 14:00 before driving out to the beaches and the German batteries. Including travel time and viewing the different sites, we didn't finish until 18:30.
