“Lovely B&B in Bayeux”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

Stayed here for three nights in March 2012 using it as a base for visiting Mont St Michel and the Normandy beaches. Very welcoming and relaxing - the family apartment was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Generous breakfast and recommended restaurants nearby for dinner. Would love to return both to Logis Les Remparts and to the town of Bayeux.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Logis Les Remparts. We'd worked out with Christele all the details of our stay and the time of our arrival, and were admitted early to leave our baggage in the room before going out for the day. We were also able to leave our baggage there on our last day, after we'd checked out, to pick up just before we took our train home.
We found the blue room and its bathroom very comfortable and immaculately clean. We love toile! Breakfast was ample, fairly priced, and tasty (especially their proprietary apple juice and apple jelly), and it was fun having it in the setting of the cider shop, where we also bought some cider and Calvados. We found our hosts' welcome to be all we could want it to be, and the house and location on the park charming, and we would readily recommend this B&B to others.
One note: the walls of the rooms are thin, so if you anticipate not being able to keep from disturbing your neighbors and hosts with noise, you may wish to look elsewhere.

Stayed here for 4 nights in July 2011 before going to Paris (wished I'd skipped Paris and stayed here longer). This b&b is amazing. We had two adjoining rooms for us and our daughter. They were huge and decorated in an old fashioned french style. Everything was just perfect. Breakfast was continental and consisted of a different assortment of breads each day, yoghurt and the most delicious homemade apple juice and apple jelly. The breakfast was served in the adjoining shop where the homemade products can be bought (very reasonable prices). The location is a quiet street within walking distance to the town. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and hope to return some day soon.

Room Tip: Ask for the second room at the first level.

We spent three nights here in October and it was our favorite place to stay on our trip (excluding the part we stayed with family). It was a fantastic location to explore Bayeux and the Normandy region. We were able to find free parking every night in front of our inn. It was an easy walk to all the local sights and restaurants. We were given suggestions for dining and liked them all.
Our room at the top was a real surprise. Spacious and bright with a large skylight. Bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bath was modern and spotless. The only negative there was a motion sensor light which wasn't fun for older people who get up in the night.
We were out early every morning, so didn't eat breakfast, but we did buy some cider and cavaldos in the owners' shop.
The area is very quiet and so was the inn.

Nice quite location very close to the centre of town on a beautiful square. 5 min walk to some great places to eat. The Bajocasse room was beautifully appointed and Christele LeCornu the proprietor spoke excellent English so we didn't need to struggle to much with our French. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast the next morning was basic but adequate. Bayeux itself is a gorgeous medieval town and the cathedral is a gem, we went specifically to see the tapestry and were not disappointed.

My husband and I stayed at this B&B per a Rick Steves recommendation. The Rick Steves recommendation was pretty accurate and the hostess Christele was very nice to us when we arrived the first evening (we stayed two nights.). She asked if we wanted breakfast the next morning and also that full payment would be due then (the balance due after our deposit). We said we would be getting up before her scheduled breakfast hour and she said no problem she could get payment from us that next evening. When we got home from the tour around 6:30 pm she was no where to be found so we rang the bell; no one answered. So the next morning we met her downstairs and asked her about breakfast. She sternly said we had to reserve it ahead of time but she could find us some bread. We said we'd pass and go out (on Sunday when most things are closed) and try to find something. We forgot to double check the checkout time before we left and came back 45 minutes after checkout and found she had packed up all of our belongings and put them out in the hallway. Yes, we were at fault for getting back late but would have appreciated her reminding us of the checkout time if it was that strict before we left. Plus we have never had anyone go through all of our personal belongings including our money and put them willy nilly into different suitcases. We were trying to figure out where she put our maps, etc. and we were trying to set a suitcase on bed to find it and she sternly said, "Please do not go into the room, I have already cleaned it" We are actually very clean, polite, friendly people and we don;'t make any noise and we leave the rooms clean and we have never experienced being made to feel so low and humiliated. It was a terrible start for our much awaited trip to France.

My sister and I had a wonderful and relaxing visit at Logis Les Remparts. We had a beautiful room and we were located so very close to the cathedral and main part of Bayeux. Christele and her family were very accommodating holding our bags after our check out so we could have a few extra hours to visit Bayeux before heading to the train station. Oh and they graciously called the taxi for us. I look forward to my next stay!
