“Good Choice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Excellent and attentive service. Reasonably priced.
This fairly new establishment seems to be quite popular with the locals.

“Fantastic meal!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

If you happen to be spending an evening or two in Bayeux - be sure to make a reservation here! Best food I have had in France in sometime (and I live here!). Wonderful restaurant - beautiful setting, amazing food, great service (in English too of course!). Bon appetit!!!

“One of the best meals we had in France”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013 via mobile

We had no reservation but were able to be seated immediately. We thought the food was excellent, especially the Grand Marnier Soufflé Crepe!

“A gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

The proprietor of our B & B recommended L'Angle Saint Laurent as one of his personal favorites, and we were so glad we followed his recommendation. We didn't have a reservation (I agree with other reviewers that it is wise to have one) but Caroline Remy greeted us warmly and seated us promptly. The space is a simple and lovely renovation of one of Bayeux's many old buildings and feels intimate but not crowded. The food was extraordinary, from an amuse-bouche of layerd vegetable purees, to a heavenly cauliflower bisque to perfectly cooked mackerel and boudin noir and exquisite desserts. The value is extraordinary---I've paid far more for meals that can't begin to compare. Possibly the best meal we had in two weeks in France, and that includes many in Paris!

“Very very good, not perfect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

When we called in to book, we were very warmly greeted - we ate there on a Saturday evening and the service seemed a little stretched. It was a long time before we were offered menus and were not offered an aperitif, though we did eventually order them. Once the meal started, the service was generally very good (though we had to ask for a spoon for soup!)

The starters and desserts were delicious (try the black pudding tatin) and the main courses good but not so exceptional. (The chicken dish was accompanied by a whole baked apple which dwarfed the rest of the plate)

Only a few details away from being fantastic
