Mr. and Mrs. Hébert who run the Churchill Hotel in Bayeux are so welcoming and their presence makes a big difference. They are extremely helpful with tourist information and recommended a great restaurant (just 200 metres away, so convenient too !) as well as the itinerary for a visit to Mont Saint Michel. It is the second time I have stayed at this hotel in the centre of Bayeux, near the Tapestry and the Cathedral. That already says a lot !
Since my last visit they have added a boutique/art gallery in the hotel, where you can find the most delicious and prettily packaged French delicacies. The art work is obviously for sale, that's something nice to look at too ! The room I stayed in was big, comfortable, cosy and reasonably priced. Good shower after the drive from Paris ! The car park is a boon.
I thoroughly recommend the Churchill Hotel in Bayeux and hope to return there soon !

Stayed at the Hotel Churchill in Bayeux for six nights while visiting the Normandy battlefield sites. The owner and staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The location is excellent for meeting tour buses, finding good restaurants and walking the city. It's a three star, with all that you would expect - clean, modern and roomy. Excellent rate too.

Very much enjoyed our 2 day stay in Bayeux while touring the D-Day Beaches. Great location--right on the main street with many shops and restaurants right outside the front entrance. Bayeux is a perfect place to stay in Normandy if you are planning to see the World War 2 sites and the Churchill is a very nice and clean hotel to make your trip unforgettable. I would recommend it to anyone.

This hotel is a must if you plan on staying in Bayeux. Great location for sightseeing - the tapestry and cathedal are a stone's throw away. The staff are extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Wonderful rooms with updated bathrooms make it quite comfortable. I can't say enough about it. Customer service at its best.
