I took a group of students to Normandy this summer, and looked over several tour guides on tripadvisor. Paul Woodadge, who runs D-Day Historian, received far and away the best reviews, so I went with him and am extremely glad I did so. Mr. Woodadge has forgotten more about Operation Overlord than most people will ever know. I teach U.S. Military History (my primary research era is U.S. Civil War) and I learned a heck of lot on this trip. Besides his personal stories and out of the way places that only he seems to know about, Mr. Woodadge also made some very good recommendations about places to eat or other sides to see. D-Day Historian is the complete package, and anyone interested in a tour should use anyone else only if you cannot book with Mr. Wooodadge.
