“Many choices, good prices, generous servings, friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

We were staying just around the corner, and there were not many restaurants available on a Sunday night in the winter. The hotel recommended it, and I'm glad we followed through. We compared the menu with the one across the street, and chose this one because it had so many choices on the menu, and three different prix fixe selections. My wife is a vegetarian, and I wanted fish. I had the seafood, and she had vegetable soup. I had the grilled cod and she had the salmon. Both plates were beautiful, generous, attractive, and wonderfully prepared with amazing sauces and, vegetables. We choose two different desserts, and both were good choices. With a house wine, the total was at 51 Euro. The ambience was very pleasant, the waitress friendly. Highly recommend for the seafood.

“Wonderful Table du terroir”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

This restaurants is amazing! February is not really a touristic time of the year in Normandy but of all the places this was the fullest so we gave it a chance and came back the next day again!
They have 3 main menus with different dishes to chose as entree, main course and desert. We tried two of them with different variations and they were all fabulous!
They also have a great wine list. Prices are amazing for both the quality and the amount of food you get!
The only not so great thing is that tables are a bit too close one to another so if you're not seating in a separe table you'll be able to knock someone with your elbow. But even with that in mind, it is definitely worth coming (and coming back)!

“Delicious”

Went here at the last minute with no reservations & was really surprised at how good it was. Very friendly staff and English is no problem. Comfortable restaurant too.

“Friendly service disappointing food and recommended wine”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

We would not eat there again. A high street position and no doubt picks up a lot of passing trade. Couldn't drink the recommended wine. We ended up leaving about half a bottle. We did not think anything of the food, the salmon was mundane, the pate was nothing special, the chicken that was supposed to be some local special cuisine was run of the mill lump with sauce on it. All well cooked though. The deserts were ok.

“Our first Lunch in Bayeux was perfect”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

La Table du terroir was a short walk from the Villa Lara Hotel and became our first dining experience in Bayeux as a result. The lunch was good both in terms of taste and service. The server did not speak English but we managed to communicate. The restaurant had a back room that we did not visit but later saw filled with people during the dinner hour. La Table du Terroir was a popular place on the main street of Bayeux.
