It was the only hotel with a room when we wanted so we took a chance.Its a 5 minute drive into the town so youll need a car but right next to N13 so great for touring the landing beaches.
Basic but clean and comfy.Breakfast is 5 euro and again basic but enough to get you going and at 5 euro you cant moan.
Twin beds,shower and private toilet,air-con and good wifi internet.
Its no waldorf hotel but for somewhere to lay your head its spot on.
Staff were wonderful,gave us milk everyday for tea (vending).Even had a english channel on the TV.
Restaurant next door was reasonable for food and nice staff.
If you want to see the beaches and just pop into town for a day then its very good value for money at 50 quid a twin room with breakfast,its french so breakfast is cereals and bread/toast,yogourt but fine and fresh.

A fairly new, typical 'out of town' stop over hotel. About a 10 minute drive to the centre of Bayeux. Decent car parking with a pretty good restaurant next door (I'm assuming owned by the hotel chain, guests get 15% off). Nothing else within walking distance.

Rooms are clean and warm with free air conditioning available. Satellite TV with, quite sensibly, volume restricted (there is a headphone socket). But that's about it in the room.

The rooms are small, very small. Make sure you are very familiar with who you are staying with! Separate toilet and shower with the sink in the room. Shower has a barely obscured glass door, opposite a wall mirror! Twin, narrow beds were about an inch apart with about a couple of feet around them.

We had a room facing the road (D613), which was busy constantly, there will be road noise all night if you have the window open.

No bar as such but you can order a beer (and nothing else) from reception and drink it in the breakfast area or your room. Breakfast was good value and typical; tea/coffee, cereal, yoghurt, jam, cheese, baguette. Eat as much as you like. No croissants though.
Staff were pleasant and spoke fairly good English.

Ideal for a cheap stop over for a day or two, any longer would be too cramped, but I guess that this is what this kind of hotel is designed for. Bayeux is beautiful and well worth visiting but hotels with parking are limited. So if its just a flying visit the Ibis Budget Bayeux (also called Hotel Etap) will be fine.

This hotel is only suitable for a short stay. The rooms are very very small. Barely enough space to walk around the bed. There is no bathroom only a shower shell in the room and a small closet with a toilet in it. It is quite a way out of Bayeux and transport is essential. The staff are friendly and they gave us a 15% discount for a neighbouring restaurant. There is a communal area in reception where it is possible to sit and relax as there is no room in the bedroom. Wifi can be accessed here. I would personally pay a few more pounds and go to a better place.

We stayed here for 1 night to break the journey back to Calais. The hotel was situated in an industrial area, a far cry from the picturesque Bayeux but was perfectly adequate for our needs.. The room was very small with a double and bunk bed overhead, apparently this is a standard formula for the Etaps. We chose not to eat breakfast as I am not a fan of pastries and jams although we did eat at the restaurant on site. we were given 10% discount being hotel guests and I have to say, the steak was fantastic!
The hotel was well located to visit the D-day beaches and Bayeux but a car is essential. The helpful receptionist gave us a map of the town and highlighted free carparks.
