“Tip - stack your plate high”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

So to explain the concept. You get a really small plate which you take to the buffet to select the ingredients for your stir fry. My advice is stack it high as once it is cooked they put it in a bigger bowl. The chef then fries it up in front of you letting you pick the sauces. My dish was tasty, however I had to get the waiter to explain what each sauce was as the chef didn't speak English and my French is limited. I found the service really good, with the French waiter taking his time to explain the menu in English. Price wise it was very reasonable.

“Excellent Wok restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

Clean, modern central location. You choose your raw ingrediants at a buffet table and then take it along to a chef who cooks it in front of you. You have a choice of four oils, about 6 sauces and four garnishes. If you prefer you can also choose a meal of the menu and for those not keen on Asian food, there are burgers, fajitas..... Also good cocktail menu and a kids meal available.

“Pretty good wok, nothing fancy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2011

Not bad buffet wok food, if you want a quick meal. It's not fantastic food, but it's decent and reasonably priced for lunch. The service was mediocre, considering all they had to do was bring drinks and dessert. A better version of fast food if you want asian wok.

“You choose raw ingredients, and you have it cooked in front of you”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2010

First, you enter a very classy room ; modern, quite dark, very trendy.
Then you go to the buffet, and you choose the ingredients you're gonna give to the "woker", who's gonna cook right under your eyes (watch out for the flames!). There are several sauces (Peanuts, Ginger, Oyster...). You have a sit and you eat with chopsticks in a large bowl. But you're not in Asia, you're in a very fancy place.

Since the reduction of the VAT, prices are affordable (9.90 euros for a basic lunch). But you plan to go for dinner, it might cost much more.

Waiters are always very kind and thoughtful. The food is very nice to me, large choice of vegetables, meat and fish. Desserts are expensive but why not.

In a word, trying this restaurant is an experience. If you're in Lille, if you have 10 euros for lunch and if you like thaï food, just go, you won't regret it.

PS. There are other Tiger Wok in France (Ivry sur Seine, Lyon...). Check on their website. PS. I notice that somebody wrote "romantic place". To me, not really; since the kitchen is like an "open-space", it's always very noisy. Hard to have a conversation while eating.
