“So depressing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

I hate this station. Not so much the upper concourse but once you pass through customs to wait for the Eurostar there are minimal facilities and the place is like a disused air hangar. Often you are directed down to the Eurostar platforms well before the train arrives and as it is unsheltered it can be so cold.

“Standard.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

Any international visitors to Lille will have passed through Euralille Station (Lille Europe).

The place is absolutely fine, clean enough and one feels perfectly secure when inside. However, for what is a busy international hub, it is lacking in several areas. For instance, only minimal seating is provided, and the place could do with a few more restaurants (although there are plenty in Euralille itself, which is just opposite). There aren't many toilets, either, and those available are pay toilets.

The station is also very open, so it becomes extremely cold in the winter. That said, the place does offer useful 'hand-warming heat columns' (for want of the correct term- they're basically radiator pillars) when the temperature plummets.

All of these are minor issues, of course... but as this station is one at which I have experience numerous long delays/waits, I just think that the facilities could be improved.

On the plus side, the station is easy to get to, the shopping centre is just opposite and there are interesting monuments (modern art flowers, plus former President Francois Mitterand) just outside!

“Functional”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

Bit of a modern monstrosity and a very boring place to wait for the Eurostar and other trains. The wind blows right through, there are limited facilities and instead of showcasing their own wares they have allowed an Irish bar. A lot of beggars as well.

“Standard Eurostar Station”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

We visited Lille on NYE and the station was fine with plenty of places to grab a bite. No duty free or owt like that and bugger all when you get through the departure gate thing. Perfectly good station, near the Carre Four shopping centre, several hotels and about a ten to fifteen minute walk to the old town.

“Its a train station!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

Travelling back to the UK by EuroStar we were handled efficiently. It was busy, but once through passport control, there was sufficient seating
