“Classic hotel in a fantastic location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2010

We chose this hotel for a long weekend. The hotel is perfectly situated, a few minutes walk from the railway station, and it overlooks the old town. The staff were polite and helpful from checking in, to collecting our stored luggage on the way home. The decor is classic French and the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was efficient and was silent enough to be left on overnight.

Great location (if you go by car as we did, mind out for the one way systems!), despite being in the middle of Lille, we found the hotel to be really quiet.

We stayed in a standard double room, and it was very elegant with a nice view over the surrounding streets.

I couldnt fault this hotel, the staff were friendly and the location is excellent, 10mins walk from the Eurostar station in one direction and probably 5mins in the other direction to the old town.

Breakfast seemed pricey (19euros) but there is a Paul bakery across the road where we ate.

L'assiette du marche in the old town is my recommendation for a lovely meal out too.

A hotel with a fantastic location right in the town centre about 10mins away from Eurostar. Friendly staff. One side has balconies overlooking the Opera house/square. We didn't pay to have breakfast as Paul's bakery is just opposite. We also went for the 2nd price of room - probably worth is as we had a spacious, well-decorated room (the separate toilet is on the small side)

The hotel is actually a huge disappointment. It does not feel homely or even trendy. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are minute. The spa did not work and the gym is vry basic. The hotel is very impersonal. At least it is strategically located.

Stayed at Carlton hotel in Lille on business. Hotel is very comfortable and stylish, with some amazing antique pieces in the hallways and corridors. Nice (but small) bar in the lobby area.

Clean and comfortable bedrooms, nice bathrooms.

This hotel affords very easy access to Eurostar terminal. Shopping and restaurants are right on the doorstep ! Great location.

Helpful and friendly staff made this a very pleasant stay.
