We spent a night at the Hotel Up recently. The hotel is very modern and the room was very funky and well furnished. The toiletries were L'Occitane. Breakfast was brilliant, although should have been for 15 Euros! Staff were friendly and helpful.

My two cousins and I stayed here last weekend and could not fault this hotel (apart from lack of shelves in the bathroom - but the area around the sink was spacious). We actually like it being close to the station as it is less than ten minutes on foot - great if you are dragging suitcases! Also it means it is close to both the Euralille (giant shopping mall) and more traditional shopping areas of Lille town centre. In fact everything seems to be only ten minutes walk from this hotel!

We had a superior room for the three of us which had a superking bed and a large double sofa. It was a lovely room and the beds were very comfy although of course the sofa bed was harder than the main bed. Funky decor and L'occitane products. Like the last reviewer our room also faced the street but again - no noise.

The bar was beautiful but we were so busy we didn't have time to drink in it - shame as they have their own cocktail 'mixologist' from 7 pm.

The staff were incredible helpful They booked a restaurant for us (then cancelled it when we changed our minds!) Also my cousin lost her Eurostar ticket and they printed out another - nothing was too much trouble. There wasn't any milk in the room so they brought us a jugful which I think they must have changed each day as it didn't go off.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel - and Lille - we will definitely be back...I can't beleive it was just an hour and a half from London!

I am English and stay in hotels a fair amount for both business and for personal reasons. I booked this hotel for a short break for myself and my wife and I found it to be very good indeed. The staff were very welcoming friendly and professional and the hotel was very clean modern, very well fitted out and even though we were in the front of the building there was little noise from the road or inside the hotel. It is very near the centre of the town but if I was to be over critical the it is a bit near the station. All in all though I would rate this very highly.

We went for a weekend break to Lille from London. We chose Up Hotel Lille via reviews. The hotel location is very close to the train station, so this was an easy walk after arriving (although we walked the long way :-)).

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Downstairs is a lovely bar, with a good selection of wines etc

We ordered the breakfast in our room on the first morning - by far the largest and nicest room service breakfast I've had.

The rooms are clean and modern. We were on the third floor near the lift and were first concerned with the noise, but it was quiet. We did have some trouble getting the air conditioning working properly, but it was an unusually hot weekend.

The bathroom is large and shower is the big rain shower type. It could do with however, some shelves in the bathroom to put your stuff and in the shower - apart from that no negatives.
