This looked unpromising, as a museum of antiquities (yawn) but it is a wonderful smallish museum with a huge amount about a truly amazing villa estate that was in Toulouse. There are countless lively statues and portraits and objects salvaged from this place, which clearly belonged to a super rich tycoon type ROman. I really got a feeling of wealthy expatriate Roman life from viewing it all. The museum has been modernised very well and has numerous other exhibits. Toulouse is a really, really old place despite the fact that a lot of it (outside the old centre) looks modern and rather ugly now. I was delighted I'd stumbled more or less accidentally on this museum, I only went in it because I had nothing else to do and it was raining, but I am very glad I did go.
