“Beautiful, central B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here for 2 nights in December and the rooms were beautifully decorated. Very close to the centre so we could walk to different restaurants and the shops very easily. Wifi and a good breakfast included. The owner was very helpful and friendly. One of the best B&Bs we have stayed in.

Every year six friends venture to Europe for a weekend of good company and laughter. This year we found ourselves staying in a beautiful french home enjoying the most luxurious rooms we have ever had on our budget. We shared two rooms between us and the extra beds were more comfortable than the average 'put you up'. The decoration and soft furnishings in the rooms are individual and the attention to detail of guests needs is faultless. Lovely toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities dressing gowns and very clean. When it come to breakfast this was an experience beyond anything you would get in a faceless hotel. Madame Sylviane provided the most wonderful selection of home made jams, with a different cheese each day and fresh pastries and breads and fruit. She even made a lovely cake one morning. Each morning the beautiful table was set with a different colour theme and we felt relaxed and able to linger while we planned our day, with Madame Sylviane providing us with maps, guide books and suggestions. This is a true little gem, well placed to walk wherever you need to and a welcome retreat after a day sightseeing. Thank you Madame Sylviane for making our weekend a real treat.

Les Loges was a superb place to stay. The 4-room bed & breakfast is located on the second floor of a pretty building. It can be reached by stairs or a lift from the pretty courtyard. The lovely owner, Madame Sylvia Tatine, lives on the floor above. We had one of the rooms on the front of the building that looked out over the street, with a view of St. Sernin from the small balcony. The room and its very sleek modern bathroom were large. But, perhaps the best thing about the room was that it is the most beautifully decorated hotel or B & B room we’ve ever had—a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary French. The hallway walls are decorated with Mdm Tatin's gorgeous contemporary quilts.

The B & B is located on a small street at the rear of the basilica St. Sernin, at the north edge of Old Toulouse. From there, it's only a short walk to the rest of the old city, its restaurants, shops, historic buildings, and Galleries Lafayette. On its other side, it is a half block from the main thoroughfare of Rue Strasbourg and its many bars and restaurants and a 10 minute walk from the main train station, where we returned our rental car. A very nice little cafe facing the rear of St. Sernin, Les Delices de Saturnin, is just a half block away.

What a gem! My wife and I recently stayed two nights at the Les Loges de Saint-Sernin B&B. It was wonderful! The rooms are beautifully decorated. The room was perfect! King sized bed and plenty of extra room. The room was spacious and very quiet. Contrary to a prior review, we used the A/C up until 11 pm turned it off and then cracked the window for a breeze. It was not an issue. The breakfast was very good. We especially liked the selections of homemade jams, I tried at least 8 different flavors with my croissants! We also got two great restaurant recommendations from Mme.Tatin and both were outstanding! This is a great location close to the metro, ther market, the Basillica and the great shopping areas of Toulouse. We thouroughly enjoyed the stay and the wonderful hospitalityof Mme. Tatin - Highly recommended..

Room Tip: ASsk for the rooms that face the courtyard to avoid any issues with minor street noise.

We spent 3 nights is this B & B. We arrived early in the day but it was no problem to leave our baggage inside until our room was ready. The building has been beautifully restored and the room we had (Canal du Midi) was exquisitely decorated and very spacious. The king size bed was particularly comfortable. The bathroom was also very large and the shower (over the bath) worked perfectly which is a rarity in France. It is located very centrally in a quiet narrow street very close to the basilica of St Sernin. The building is extremely secure and entry is very simple to operate (no codes to remember). We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and it was possible to return to rest and then venture out again.
There are many bars and restaurants close by. Mme Tatin was very friendly and helpful. I was quite worried about having to get a taxi to pick us up at 5.00 am but Mme Tatin organized it for us and it was waiting in the street when we exited the building. I would certainly recommend this as a place to stay.

My daughter and I stayed at Les Loges de Sernin in June 2012. Our room was spacious, bright, beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds, lovely bathroom. The b and b is centrally located but on a quiet street, and Mme Tatin is a gracious and very helpful host. She arranged dinner recommendations for us twice, and her restaurant recommendations were perfect. She is also an accomplished quilter and the house is beautifully decorated with her award winning creations. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect lodging for our three day stay. (p.s. I was not feeling well while I was there and she was extremely concerned and helpful.)

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it a near perfect experience. From the wonderfully presented room to the amazing breakfasts each morning. Our room definitely had the "wow" factor, from the designer-appointed bathroom to the inviting main room (bed) we stopped to take photos before we disturbed anything! After a long day of trudging the streets of Toulouse, it was nice knowing we had a lovely centrally located retreat waiting for us at the end of each day.

The room itself was perfect. Our bed wonderfully comfortable and pillows perfect (a bugbear with many hotels/ b&b). We had a tiny balcony overlooking the private courtyard and we slept at night with this open - a perfect breeze. Although no in-room safe for our valuables, we used the secure, lockable wardrobe to store our belongings, so we left our room during the day with peace of mind although the security to get into the building was excellent (see below).

The bathroom was amazing. The owners renovated the building themselves and appear to have spared little expense with appointing the rooms and especially the bathroom. To be frank, I judge accommodation by its bathroom cleanliness and presentation and this is where this hotel shined. I've included photos.

Breakfast is presented each morning in the breakfast room/kitchen, with home made conserves offered by the hotel's lovely owner. I think I ate my body weight in the fig jam - delicious! Each morning we were served French pastries, bread and cheese as well as fresh coffee/ tea, juice, fresh fruit and yoghurts. The communal room is shared with other guests but we enjoy this - it's a nice opportunity to exchange stories each morning. Breakfast is hosted every morning by the owner, btw.

The building itself is very secure and features a lift for transporting heavy suitcases (or stairs for the health conscious). Getting into the building is hard enough for anyone without keys, so if security is of concern to you, you're safe and cosy here.

Negatives? Frankly, none worth mentioning. We chatted with the couple who left the single-star review here, and it was a shame they had the experience they did because this B&B is an exceptional place and we wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone. Stay here in confidence, you won't regret the decision.
