“Nice hotel in Lourdes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2011

This hotel is situated in a good place in Lourdes, above all for people who come with car. In front of the hotel you can find a big parking lot, free of charge.

The hotel is nice and very new. We got a very nice and modern room at the first floor. The hotel has also a restaurant with great food. But, it was a little bit pity. We were the only guests in the evening and the girl from the reception had to help to serve. I mean, it was not a disadvantage for us, but the restaurant was so good that more people should eat here than only two persons. We felt sorrow for the chef who couldn’t prove his/her skills for more persons than us.

If you go to Lourdes, this hotel is perfect. The holy part is about 15 min by foot, so if you haven’t any problems to walk, I can really recommend this hotel.

Well located - though further away from the railway station than most of the hotels (~EUR 10 by cab), it's only about a 10 minute walk (on flat ground) from the sanctuaries. Plus it has the added advantage of not being surrounded by all the touristy / commercial areas closer to the center - which can become quite bothersome.
Staff speak English and are friendly enough. Room was large (being an apartment-hotel) but while there was a kitchenette, there was surprisingly no cutlery / crockery. Not even glasses or spoons. Also, the internet (wi-fi) was not available in the room we were in. Had to go down to the lobby to use it.
But overall was a good experience.

I stayed in this hotel for a week in September with a small group from Dublin, Ireland. The tour operator booked the hotel so I presumed it was a decent hotel. I was looking forward to the week away, however when we arrived at the hotel, the rooms weren't ready. The reception desk was chaotic and the staff barely spoke English. We were waiting half an hour to be shown our rooms. The lighting is motion sensitive but hardly worked. The food is without a doubt the worst I have EVER experienced, Raw chicken, tiny portions which the rude staff almost threw down on the table in ignorance. No menu, the manager was a 20 year old who couldn't have cared less. The rooms were not cleaned properly, I was so disappointed and was tempted to report them to the department of health. The staff pretended they couldn't speak English and we received no apology. This is the collective view of about 70 people. I would absolutely never never ever recommend this dump to anyone.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2010

My husband and me toured france for the month of September, the big fault we found with hotels in France is the fact that they allow dogs into the same bedrooms that the public occupy. Now the reason I mention this when reviewing this hotel is that this hotel appears to be brand new and it would be such a pity to have it soiled by pets. We stayed in 2star to 4star hotels during our tour and in all hotels the carpets were marked and in most one could smell the odour of dog in the bedrooms. I suggest that certain rooms be set aside for pets just like smoking or non smoking rooms. I loved the beautiful bedroom and very well fitted out kitchenette. Staff nice with good english, excl location.

We booked this hotel through British Airways and breakfast is included with our booking. We stayed for one night only on October 9. Hotel is clean. Staff working at the front desk speak English but staff working in breakfast room did not speak. We had two medium size luggage weighing 23 kilos each and had to carry these up several flights of stairs to get to the front desk. There is an elevator when you enter the hotel and it is to be use for the disabled. Breakfast consist of juice, coffee/espresso, yogurt, fresh fruit salad, creme fraiche, croissants, cold meat and cheese. Staff working in breakfast room did not speak English. Our room was clean with modern furnishings, flat screen TV (was able to watch news in English), kitchenette and balcony. Free WiFi in our bedroom. Air condition works in our room. Location is close to restaurants, shops and about a 15-20 minutes walk to the grotto.
