Drove this route in my small Honda Jazz (or Honda Fit if that's what you're used to) in early-June 2010 from France to Spain. Could have gone via the Somport Tunnel, but thought it would be nicer to go over the top.
As obvious from the map it's very bendy and steep, so you'll probably be stuck behind a tractor or lorry for some of the route. Don't worry, they'll turn off at some point. As it was coming up to LeTour, there were quite a few cyclistspracticingfor their King of the Mountains vest.
Note: I would !not! take a RV or caravan on this route.
As driver, I didn't see much of the view, but from the few glimpses I took it was wonderful. Once you cross into Spain the road to Huesca is being rebuilt but I found it fast and unused.
Happy trails ... Martin O'London
