“Time this was demolished”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

This hotel certainly did not live up to its advertised blurb. There was no lift, no restaurant on site. Our room number 114 was tiny, had no electric socket for shaving, hair dryer etc. It was not woorth the money we paid.

.....and possibly the last. Easy enough to find with googlemaps and a friendly welcome but the room left much to be desired. We have tried many "budget" hotels but this room was the smallest we have ever stayed in.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

We'd pre-booked two nights in this hotel and arrived on 17th July. It was incredibly difficult to find and we drove around for almost two hours before we located it. I'd forgotten to bring my GPS Navigator with me, however, it ought to have been better sign-posted anyway.

Luckily we arrived half-an-hour before they closed the door and we were given a very warm welcome. I had a long conversation with the lady on reception who had been at this hotel in Limoges for three years, but originated from Lille.

Our room was on the first floor and was more than adequate. The beds were very comfortable and we had a view from our window over a field. The bathroom was functional, clean and easy to use, though it was quite small.

Breakfast was really good and a television with a French news channel on was satisfyingly visible to catch up on weather forecasts - it was 31 degrees while we were there.

The car park was large and the security gate was locked over night. They gave us a pass code to exit and access when we went into Limoges on both nights.

Checking out was easy and we enjoyed our stay.

We'd stayed at a Balladins in La Rochelle the night before, which wasn't nearly so comfortable.

Room Tip: As there are no lifts it's a good idea to try and get the ground or first floor. It's on an...

Chose this place on our drive down to Spain from Rotterdam. It's perfect because it allows self check-in AND it has a private parking lot. It's really a good place if you don't know what time you will roll in after your long drive. The location is very conveniently close to the main highway going into Limoges from the north. The room itself is clean and simple. If you are there just to lay yourself down in a clean and comfortable bed for a night of rest before continuing on your journey the next day, this is more than adequate.

When we pulled up around 4:30 am, we had a bit trouble opening the gate into the parking lot. What you need to do is:
1: go into the hotel building through the small gate (outside) in person for check in
2. you will see a self-checkin machine, just put in your last name, the machine will spit out a room key card (in a folded card holder) and a receipt with pass-code
3. go back out to the main gate and swipe your card from the "outside" of the gate, this will open the gate and allow your car in
4. punch in the passcode stated on the receipt slip generated by the check-in machine at the hotel building door to get inside
5. go to your room! (the room number is stated on the card holder, not on the swipe card itself)

Enjoy and bon voyage.

Room Tip: One thing I can say is it's absolutely random what you get because it's done by machine :)

I stayed here for 6 nights through the worst of the cold snap of weather. My room, though small, was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Plenty of blankets provided and no noise ensured a good nights sleep. I had the sense to bring my own travel kettle so no problems on that front. The breakfast, whilst basic, was fresh and tasty. All the staff were friendly and made sure to ask if I was warm enough and comfortable. Proximity to the autoroute made getting here a breeze. Frankly for the miserly amount I paid for this booking I simply couldn't have been more satisfied.

Stayed here in July on our way from Cherbourg to Andorra. We were looking for a family room but on the booking it seemed that we would be getting two rooms, which we did but they were interconnecting, which was a lovely surprise rather than having to split up who slept with who, all together. The only thing is location can be a small bit tricky to find coming from Poitiers. So I would recommend that you look at the map they provide and use the satellite version so you will be familiar with the buildings as to where to turn off. The one where you turn off at has changed its name but the street name is very visible. Perfect for a stop over.

Clean comfortable, if small, room, Lise who worked on the desk was lovely, welcoming smile and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. We stayed there for one night as we were visiting a few sites nearby, but for those who need it its close to Limoge airport.

Not enough towels, poor evening menu (we didn't eat, so not a criticism of food, but of menu). Not easy to find, on the last turn my GPS turned me right instead of left.
