“Experiencia muy mal”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2014

We have been traveling from Spain to Germany, stayed for 1 night.
two adults, 1 child, 1 grandma.
the site describes the "mini suite" as
"Room size: 27 m²
Bedroom 1: 1 double bed
Bedroom 2: 2 single beds"
So you imagine it as interconnecting rooms, two in one.
Instead it was one room only and the management refused to cancel booking despite the description was simply dishonest.
We could not loose money and it was late anyway, so we should stay all together, the worst experience for my mom and my husband to sleep in one room.
Highly uncomfortable for both. Worst management ever!

We stayed here for one night and one night was too much. It felt like I was in my twenties again staying at a substandard two star hostel. The hallways were awful, dirty and in need to re painting. The rooms itself were poorly furnished, the floors were dirty. The bathroom toilet was stained. It's very old and in need of refurbishing. The bed was horrible and hard, the pillows were flat and I didn't even want to touch the blankets. The whole place just didn't have a nice feeling, it's been run down. I wanted to leave when I saw the breakfast buffet no wonder they make you pay before you have it! It was so crappy do not get this. The reason why we picked this hotel was because we needed to get an early train to Barcelona and it's walking distance to the train station but I wouldn't try this again.

We loved our stay here. Stayed in a room overlooking the arena. Really lovely and clean. Quiet and really comfortable. Great simple style to the room too. Really friendly and welcoming staff. We chose it based on other reviews on this site and It was even better than expected.

We booked on the basis of other reviews here. They give an accurate impression. It's extremely central, with the Arena just on the other side of the road. The station (and the navette for the airport) is 5 minutes walk. Everything in the central area is very close.
We also found quiet local shops and a super pizza place (Larentia) less than 5 minutes down the Rue de la Republique (out of hotel and turn left).

Room Tip: Take note of the comments about rooms facing the Arena. You are choosing a view which is truly spect...

We stayed in room 10. It was huge and very wonderful by any standard. We had a view of the 2000 year old Roman Amphitheater from our window... and were informed upon checkout that PICASSO himself came to Nimes every 6 months over 20 years to attend the bullfights in the Amphitheater. He always requested (and got) room 10!!!!! He made art in OUR ROOM!!! WOW!!! I still have goosebumps every time I think of that!

If you ever make it to Nimes, you need to stay at this one.
From your room you are looking into the Roman Arena of Nimes.
Which is at least one reason why you came here in the first place.
Price is reasonable, rooms spacious and somewhat pseudo-desing'ish, staff is wonderfull, breakfast very agreeable.
Trust me on this one.
You might consider the next door restaurant also.
It's a little upmarket, but they use all fresh ingredients. Otherwise loads of good places to eat in the neighbourhood.

Room Tip: Average noise level, cause you're in the centre, right

We stayed here for business and booked a two bed apartment. It wasn't until we arrived that it become clear that both beds were in the same room that was also the living room, so please check when booking!!

The hotel is about five minutes walk from Nimes train station, essentially walk out the main door, walk along the huge avenue in front of you, take the left when you see the amphitheater and you are there.

The hotel is an old converted building and our room had double height ceilings and large windows looking at the amphitheater. We didn't spend much time here as there is so much to see and do in Nimes it really was just a place to crash. The kitchenette was very small and the equipment provided could do with a good wash, but we had planned to eat out anyway.

If I was on business I probably would not stay here again, however if traveling with family and friends I would definitely come back as the location is great and the hotel is good value for money.

Room Tip: I booked a two bed apartment for a colleague and myself, however it was a studio apartment with both...
