This very small hotel hidden behind the huge Protestant temple is newly refurbished in a cool airy style suitable to this Mediterranean city. The weather was hot,at least 32 degrees, but the room remained comfortable at the air conditioning's apparently preset minimum of 23..The louvred shutters allow the option of fresh air in complete privacy.
The size of the building does not allow for an elevator, and the stairs(very attractive polished limestone) are quite steep. All the rooms are small but generally well fitted out.The woodgrain floor
,which is made of some ceramic material,is very pleasant for hot feet. The lighting is particularly good, especially after removing the wrappings from the brand-new lampshades! The bathroom is small enough to need a sliding door, but there was a dry ledge to keep things on,and all the fittings were functional, with a safe modern shower valve.
There is no room fridge, but cold drinks and tea/coffee were available from the very attentive reception staff at prices slightly less than a vending machine. The small lounge is pleasant to use during the day or evening, and is ingeniously rearranged for breakfast.Considering the very small number of rooms, the breakfast is good in variety and quality.English visitors should note that the preserves never seem to include marmalade...
The only improvement I could suggest here is a few minutes' work per room- please screw down the safe to some fixed object and fix a few coat hooks- there is space on the back of the door and in the various odd corners of the complicated room shapes.Nimes is worth more than a couple of days visit, and suitcases need properly unpacking and stowing away to cope in small rooms.

Room Tip: Think about the weight of your baggage if taking a third floor room. The street has little traffic an...

The room is small but very clean and newly decorated with modern decor. Very good AC but also has a window that opens for fresh air onto a quiet street. Loved the shower. This is a family run hotel and all staff are wonderful, friendly and speak English. The underground public car park is very close and the discounted parking fee is an attractive deal. The hotel is in a good location, close to restaurants, shopping and not far from the main tourist attractions. The breakfast is basic but the hotelier makes coffee on the spot to your preference. Excellent value for the nightly cost.

Loved the room we stayed in. There are stone walls from ancient times... wonderful buidling...Sleep quality was good... breakfast could be improved largely... wasn't convinced about the quality of the ham especially... but service was good.
