“Great location for bars, restaurants and transport.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

We booked 6 nights and stayed 7. Location is ideal, 3 minutes from a tram stop, 5 minutes from the bars and restaurants of Antigone and a 15 minute walk to La Comedie. Situated in the business area it is quiet at night. Hotel is clean and modern. The biggest asset though is the friendly helpful staff who always gave a warm welcome.

This place was absolutely fantastic. The room was adorable and comfortable and the perfect size. The staff are complete sweethearts; I arrived jet-lagged, took a nap, and missed dinner. They put out some food for me even though it was time for them to go home! This is a wonderful place to stay. Reminds me of Base2Stay in Kensington, if you know it.

Very easy to arrive, stay and leave with a car. About a 15/20 minute walk to the center of the city through Antigone and the mall. Clean and comfortable room. Fairly good value.
The only downside is that you can hear other guests in the hallway opening and closing their room doors and the walk to the city center.
If I didn't drive into the city I would probably stay elsewhere.

As other reviewers have said this hotel is pretty much faultless. My wife and I stay in hotels quite a lot during road trips to various parts of France and Italy. In the past we often made do with fairly run down small private hotels because they were just that bit cheaper. Now we are only too happy to pay a little bit more (little being the operative word) and stay in places which are extremely comfortable and where everything works really well like this one. The Kyriad has a secure car park which meant we could forget about the car from late afternoon until the following day at noon. There was a charge - 9 Euros I think.
Although hotels like the Kyriad chain all operate in a similar way, and could be said to be a bit soulless, I think they are brilliant because they have worked out what people want and provide it efficiently at a reasonable cost.

Room Tip: Our room was too hot on arrival. Make sure you get to grips with the air conditioning/heating contro...

Stayed here for a weekend break with my partner. 10 minute transfer from airport with regular buses dropping you 3 mins walking distance from hotel. Staff very helpful, good English spoken. Communal areas and room very clean and fresh with lovely power showers in updated bathrooms. Everything we needed was supplied. Good tram links nearby for all areas of Montpellier.

We have just had a very enjoyable 3 nights here. The staff were very helpful, the room was clean, the Hotel was close to the tram stop Louis Blum (left out of the front door), and the airport shuttle bus stop (right out of the front door, right again, and it a few hundred yards away)........what more could you want? We had a back room and it was quiet even with the windows open. We booked a last minute deal and the price was very reasonable.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quiet

My daughter and I stayed in this hotel for one night in October 2012. We loved it! I would definitely stay there again when I go back to Montpellier. It's located near the Antigon shopping centre. It's ideal as it's quiet but convienient to everything. It's also super close to a tram stop and easily walkable to the center of the city. The staff was friendly and great. They even offered to hold our luggage after check out as our train was not until the late afternoon. The breakfast buffet was excellent! Lots of choices and lots of food - not the typical French croissant and coffee breakfast. Fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, hot choices, juices and of course Fresh croissants! The room was very clean and new looking. Bathroom was also nice size for a European hotel. Our room did face the street out front, but was not too noisy. Loved it!

Room Tip: I have read that the back side rooms are quieter - but our front room was not that noisy.
