“Its got everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Beautiful B&B only a 10/15 minute walk from the centre of Montpellier. The rooms are very clean and tastefully decorated.

Breakfast which was excellent was setup in the garden and you got the chance meet other guests. It consisted of fresh juice, organic croissants, local fruits, home made yogurt, jams, and lovely coffee.

Basically its got everything you want from a B&B, great location, friendly helpful host, its very clean, nicely decorated and serves a great tasty healthy breakfast.

Highly recommended.

A word of warning to start with : if you travel to Montpellier by car, take advantage of the free parking in front of this lovely B&B, and do not use your vehicle until you leave. Driving in Montpellier is a horrendous experience : you WILL get lost ! (no right angled streets and countless one ways). The heart of the city is small and the tram will take you everywhere.
We travelled to Montpellier to register our son at University. After a busy day running all around, we felt a wondeful relief once past the gate of Mon Jardin en Ville. This old town house is surrounded by a small, but very pleasent garden. The sight of greenery and the sound of birds is a luxury in this busy city.
Our room was extremely well appointed, with very tasteful modern furniture, lots of storage space, and one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in for a long time. The bathroom with its separate toilet is spotless. Breakfast in the garden is a delight (although served a little late to our taste). However, the 3 guest rooms have access to a small kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge to store goodies, in case you like your early morning bed tea or you want to have a meal on the spot.
Marie-Jose, her husband and her team are exceedinly helpful when it comes to practical information about Montpellier (restaurants, laundries, places to see etc.)
We would definitely recommend Mon Jardin en Ville to anybody intending to visit Montpellier.

My fiance and I staid at "Mon Jardin en Ville" for two nights in June. We could not have imagined a better place to stay. It is quiet, charming, and smack in the middle of the city. It is easily walkable from the train station, making a car unnecessary. The house itself is beautiful, and sits on a large property with an outdoor dining table and a modern pool. The room was comparable to a 4 start hotel. It was chic and modern but unpretentious. The hostess was the epitomy of southern French hospitality. She cooks a fabulous breakfast every morning with fresh organic croissants, local fruits, home made yogurt and jams, as well as coffee and juice. It's a great chance to ask her for tips about local restaurants and attractions. Mon jardin en ville was the perfect combination of luxury, charm, uniqueness and affordability. We will definitely be going back!!

We cannot praise Mon Jardin en Ville enough. The whole atmosphere is one of calm, quality and a standard which is of the highest standard. We stayed 3 nights and wished we had booked for the entire week. The breakfast is virtually totally homemade including pastries and yogurt. Montpellier itself is rather more hectic than we had expected but staying at Mon Jardin made it memorable.

Room Tip: There are only three rooms and all are of the same high standard.

A beautiful house - spotlessly clean rooms, beautifully and tastefully decorated. Fabulous breakfast with the best home-made goat's milk yogurt we've ever had. Wish we could have stayed longer. Easy to find from motorway, about a 15 minute walk into Montpellier town.

Room Tip: We stayed in Papillon - lovely bathroom and perfectly adequate for our needs

This is a wonderful B&B, which is only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Montpellier. The property is stunning and offers extreme privacy to the guests. The rooms have a separate entrance from the rest of the house, which is nice so that you don't feel like you are disturbing anyone. The garden is lovely and a nice place to sit an read in the sun. The breakfast was great and included delicious homemade yogurt. Just outside of the suites was a small room with a coffee maker and fridge, which was great to have.

I would highly recommend staying here while in Montpellier.

We loved everything about this B&B. The bedroom & sitting room were decorated beautifully, lovely bathroom, fluffy towels. Shared kitchen with kettle, coffee maker & tea bags much appreciated. Lovely garden & pool. It is situated on a fairly busy road but as soon as you enter the drive way you are in a haven of peace. The owners could not have been more helpful & kind. Highly recommended.
