We had a brief but most enjoyable stay at Residence St Vincent. It is located in the midst of the quaint old section of the picture perfect little coastal village of Collioure. We arrived by train, and with the clear directions provided by our host, we had no problems trundling our bags along the paved footpaths to our accommodation. The accommodation is up several flights of stairs so guests need to be reasonably fit. The apartment has lots of character with some exposed timber beams and stone work. It is very clean and quite spacious with a fully equipped kitchen that provides a good option for those looking to do a bit of cooking with the wonderful local produce. The bed was comfortable and the room very quiet at night. Having a boulangerie below us was a real bonus. The village is gorgeous, and although it caters for many tourists, it is surprisingly free of the excessive development that ruins much of the Mediterranean coast. The only quibble was that booking on line was complicated by the need to submit a signed contract even for a two night stay.
