“A pleasant meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

We had lunch here on a sunny spring day, choosing it because all the other restaurants we had on our shortlist were closed for the summer. Small and quite crowded, but the staff coped with the crowd in a friendly and efficient way. The food was good, attractively presented, nice fresh fish. My only criticisms were that if you pay for fillet of sea bass in a restaurant, you expect someone in the kitchen to do their job and remove *all* the pin bones -- not the case with mine :( Also, everything was seriously undersalted, and I'm not someone who likes lot of salt on their food. Of course that can be corrected at the table. I'd happily eat there again.

“Excellent sea food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

We had a dinner of excellent seafood. I especially liked my first course: fresh anchovies, piquillo peppers and arugula salad. SO simple and SO good. Fresh seafood entree (bream) was also very good. Probably a zoo at high season, but in October it was lovely.

“Very good seafood restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Our hotel recommended to come here for a good fresh seafood and we were not disappointed by a bit! Sea bass and dish of the day (langust+ other seafood) were excellent. Service was friendly and atmosphere very pleasant. Stuff were able to help us with the menu translation and knows seafood platters in English (which is very important even if you speak french, but don't know various seafood names).

We always ask hotel to recommend a good local restaurant and Madeloc suggested this one. The food was superb so we were not disappointed.

“Quaint fish restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

This restaurant is just off the sea front, has an interesting interior decor and tightly packs in the tables.

I started with a classic and excellent Soupe de Poissons. Then had the daily special grilled sea bass which I found a bit disappointing for 25 Euros. They served it without the bones and skin which maybe explains a lack of taste. And also stacked the plate with a large langoustine and a seperate piece of fillet which I did not really want. I suppose they do it like that for those who do not take a starter.

The service is better than usual in touristy Collioure.

Not bad but I do not think I would go back.
