5 Euro charge for kitchen cleaning equipment that should be supplied.
Crockery and cooking eqiupment barely adequate.
Sofabed inoperable. Hand held shower inadequate. Bath was good.
View from the apartment window was wonderful but window blinds broken.

Room Tip: Great view of the castle from the apartment.

A well-located hotel for the Medieval City. Although no frills it was clean, comfortable and there was lots of hot water. TV reception was poor in our room. Good value for money. Breakfast was a useful option with good choice.

Room Tip: A little more welcoming. Only one sofa and no easy chairs. Difficult to sit and relax together. A mi...

Quite sterile, cookie-cutter sort of place where one has to put the key card in the switch to run the electricity. But the bed was comfortable and it was an easy, pleasant walk to the center of town to pick up groceries and make dinner. Very good value for a 1-bedroom with kitchen. Just not a comfortable place to spend time other than sleeping and eating. Helpful staff.

We were here in winter, so got a really good price and for that you can forgive a lot. The rooms are spartan and the kitchenette is basic, but ours was very clean and the towels were ok. The rooms don't get serviced unless you ask, again, for the price I can live with this. A kettle or a coffee pot would be a great addition, esp as there is nothing open locally and the reception area with vending machine closes at 8pm. Reception staff friendly and helpful and free parking and wifi helps. Not sure why anyone would need to watch the TV in Carcassonne, if you do, I can assure you, you've missed something! Location perfect for the walk to La Cite.

This hotel residence offers exceptional value for money for its location. The accommodation is spacious, clean & fairly modern. The only negative is that the mattresses are very firm, which may not be to everyone's liking. However, for a budget price, the Adonis La Barbacane offers a much higher standard of accommodation than I was expecting. I would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel was easy to find, a 15 min walk from where the airport shuttle bus dropped us on the bridge Pont Neuf. The reception area is very nice and the receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. We stayed 4 nights in late October 2014, the weather was 24/25 degrees, the room was a pleasant temp, there was air con but we didn't need it. We requested a quiet room which we got. The room was spotlessly clean, sparsely furnished, but had all we needed, except a kettle, there was a coffee machine, but neither of us drink coffee! The mattress was firmer than we are used to, but ok. The free internet was no problem. A breakfast is available at a cost of 7 euros, but we chose to walk up to the Medieval city instead. There are 3 routes by foot up to the city, 1 a cobbled stone hill, 1 very uneven steps, we preferred the slightly longer road route again a hill but easier underfoot. This Hotel is basic but comfortable, we paid £35 per night so bearing this in mind it represents very good value for money and is perfectly situated for the Walled City.

If you don't mind dingy rooms, no air conditioning in 80 degree weather, gross bathrooms that appear worn and outdated, kitchens that I wouldn't dare touching anything in it, uncomfortable beds, poor internet connections, and spartan rooms then this hotel may be okay for you just for location alone. Anyone else, stay far away from this 1star hotel.
