“Charming, delicious, good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

In a very touristy town it's a pleasure to find a restaurant which serves good, simple food, well prepared and nicely served, with a range of excellent, fairly priced local wines.
We enjoyed our dinner very much and thought it was excellent value.

“Didn't enjoy our meal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

This restaurant was recommended by a local. Three of the 4 ordered the 3 course meal and one ordered the rack of lamb which he enjoyed. My daughter and husband didn't like the salad or the cassoulet (which seemed to be a greasy bowl of beans with a big hunk of sausage and some duck at the bottom). I had the duck -- the special of the day. It was fine. The petits pots de creme were the best part of the meal. We did not experience the great service others write about. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

If you're looking for delicious traditional cassoulet this is the place to come! Delicious food, great service and very reasonably priced. Would recommend the 3 course option - I definitely didn't have any more room after 3 king-sized portions! Highly recommended.

“Excellent dinner in pleasant surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2014 via mobile

This restaurant was recommended by friends of ours who travel to France regularly. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is charming and service good. We ordered the 40€ six-course menu. It was a lot of food without being overwhelming and a nice combination of fish and meat. Dinner started off with a small taste served on a spoon (not part of the six courses).

The weather was cold so we could not sit in the courtyard but the dining room is broken into small rooms so was quite cozy.

The wine list was quite reasonable, with many wines from the surrounding appellations. We chose a nice St. Chinian for around 20€.

It is wise to locate this restaurant in advance since it is a little obscure and, as much as you can be in the old city of Carcassone, off the beaten track.

We would happily eat here again.

“Good restaurant, excellent food, reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local shop owner, It was an excellent choice, The restaurant offers a good selection of French food. Be just careful not to order too many courses, if you are not completely straved, since food is served plentifully.
