“Small tourist class hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

Small tourist class hotel. Polite and friendly service.
We had a small double room facing the courtyard. The room was neat and clean. French breakfast with croissants. Compared to the price it is an OK hotel.

The city centre location was very convenient for shops, restaurants, and the main market square, as well as the Canal Midi, Le Cite and main road to airport. Parking was available outside hotel and was free at weekends. Very busy though.
Hotel staff were very helpful but the room was a bit shabby and cramped. No bar or evening restaurant although there is a restaurant next door and others are within walking distance. It's on a main road so noisy. Daytime parking near hotel could prove difficult on weekdays as you have to pay and there is a time limit.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Room: Small, with dorm-style furniture and a barely adequate mattress. My room had the distinct odor of mold and urine coming from the carpet. The AC worked poorly so I kept the windows open in hopes of flushing out the odor and cooling the room. The noise on Jean Jaures (a very busy street) kept on till 4 am. Bathroom is small and cramped. Wifi was pretty decent.

Staff: Friendly, helpful, but spoke almost no English.

Breakfast: Basic. A couple baguettes with a cutting board, some foil wrapped cheeses, a bowl of partially overripe fruit and some tough croissants.

Location: Very central, as the name implies.

Room Tip: If you know you are going to arrive after 8pm, please call ahead to get the code to get in and your...

Read other reviews but wonder if we were in the same hotel Only comment I can agree with is clean. Niosey, very very basic, no air conditioning, basic breakfast.Poorly furnished, small bed. Not pre-booked so fell upon it after a fairly long journey should have gone toIBIS always a safe option. Sat in square not realising it was under the flight path!!

Room Tip: Are there any?

..... to ville and cite. Spacious room, very close to shopping and market in the newer (just the few hundred years old) town, handy for Canal and station and about 15 minutes from the 'medieval' town. Helpful staff.

The hotel is in a quiet area of the town. The owner was very nice even though he was overwhelmed with bookings. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, having your own shower was very appreciated too.
I guess the only negative point is the distance of the castle, which is a good 15 min. walk.
