“An absolutely divine Bed!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This has to be one of the most comfortable beds I have ever ever slept on. Dreamy. The food was excellent. We were there for a conference held at the hotel and even the snacks they prepared during coffee breaks were beautiful, delicate and delicious. As a group we paid good rates for the hotel. But the downside was that I wanted to cancel the third night stay which usually would not be a problem, but they charged 100% cancellation fee - even though we still stayed there for 2 nights. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean. The bathroom was okay, not as good as I think it could be. The location if you're touristing is excellent - so close to the Palace and the station. Trains are sporadic to this destination on weekends, and it took some colleagues 4 hours to make their way to the hotel on Sunday. But weekdays it was 2 1/2 hours or so from CDG.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind comments regarding your stay at the Pullman Versailles Chateau. We greatly appreciate them, as we strive to do our best for the comfort and services of our clients.
We are very sorry, that the transportation time between CDG and Versailles was very long for you. Normally it takes maximum 1 hour and 15 minutes. I think there may have been a problem on the train lines the days you were travelling.
We do hope that we will have the pleasure to welcome you again
Sincerely,

The Hotel is very close to the Palace, but whilst good in some areas it is lacking in others. The bathroom badly needed to be restyled. The shower over the bath was too small and the tiles on the floor were in poor repair. The bed and main room (deluxe room) were very comfortable and the view over the Hotel de Ville excellent. The complementary coffee facilities were good, but the facilities for tea were limited. Only Earl Grey and herbal tea were available and whilst you could ring and request Breakfast tea it was not automatically given.

Whilst the food was quite expensive, it was good and the staff in general were very attentive.

The Pullman was just down the road from the Chateau which allowed us to visit and come home for rest at ease. The hotel staff are very courteous and the room clean. As others have said the rooms are a little tired but the bed are quite new and very comfortable. We would recommend Pullman to others.

Room info:
Decent sized hotel room. No a/c. Room was clean and comfortable, but nothing really special; also there is an in-room safe. No in-room dvd player. Daily maid service -- though ours got cleaned only once in our 5-night stay. for some reason, our room must have always been last for being cleaned, so they managed to come every single day very late (4:30-5:00 pm) to try and clean it - even though we were in the room -- after having been gone ALL DAY.

We did not eat in the hotel ever, so i cant comment on their food. We were also there for business, so can't really review the value. Location was very good with one exception - it is by a main/busy street in Versailles, so lots of traffic noise if you want to open windows/balcony door. It is literally a 5-minute walk to the palace of versailles. also a 5 minute walk to the train station that will take you into Paris (~20-30 minute ride, depending where you get off in Paris), as well as 5-10 minute walk to nearby restaurants and some shopping. It is ~ 1 hour by car from CDG airport (depending on traffic...).

The workout center is ok...there was a stepper, treadmill, stationary bike and a weight machine (see photos). Not huge or state-of-the-art equipment, but enough to suffice. Staff overall was courteous. I would stay here again.

The hotel is literally spitting distance from the Chateau and very close to the RER Versailles Chateau station. The IBIS and Pullman are in the same block, with the IBIS fronting onto the Avenue du General de Gaulle and the Pullman around the corner fronting onto Av. de Paris.

The reception, restaurant and bar have all been refurbished and look good. The rooms, I think have also been partly refurbished. I was in 443, on the top floor and had a balcony looking onto Av. De Gaulle, it was nice to have a coffee and watch the world go by. Rooms with lower numbers will be on the other side of the hotel and ones near the front should have a view of the Chateau, but check as I didn't get into one to see.

The bed was lovely and comfortable, the quilt nice and warm and the room was generally ok. I can understand other reviews saying that they're a bit dated but I didn't mind. The bathroom looked to have been refurbished but only partly. The bath had marks on it from scouring, but it was clean so I was unfussed, the sink and toilet looked new with new fittings. There were a few screw holes in the wall where the last shower screen was fixed, minor things like that hence calling it a partial refurb. The tv was great with loads of features that I never used. The wifi was free but I had to get Caroline on reception to help as the instructions in the room aren't the current login process. I'd also paid for breakfast when booking online through the Accor website and was a bit miffed to be charged €25, but a quick word with Caroline also fixed that.

Rooms on lower floors may be larger due to the building style, but I found mine a little on the small side, it was perfectly adequate for two but if you had a couple of suitcases it would be a bit tighter. The on site restaurant was good quality but you paid for it, starter & main & orangina was €46 for one. All in an excellent location and a very good hotel with helpful staff.

Room Tip: Lower room numbers on the 4th floor might have Chateau views, there were also interconnecting ones s...

We have stayed in several hotels in Versailles and must say that this is the best we have found for the price. The rooms are comfortable and children are welcome. The staff are extremely helpful and the location is perfect. The train to Paris takes just 25 minutes but there is plenty to do in Versailles.
