“Give yourself a treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Food was great, presentation of the various courses was very original.
Instead of dinner, we took the lunch menu with recommended wines for each course. Very much enjoyed the food and the service was excellent!

“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Outstanding service with excellent food. Worth the detour from Versailles. We had the lunch menu at €87 per person. A good value for this level of quality and service. Amuse Bouche was very nice a coddled egg with pea puree. Several choices of butter, breads. Parmesean breadsticks. Endive with goat cheese and eggplant spreads were delicious.
Had the veal head press for starter, a good terrine with lots of fat. The Lamb main course was very good, but not over the top memorable.
The dessert of pinnaple floating island was excellent and inventive. Not too sweet as well.
I did have a fantastic cappucinno, but for €12 it was a very expensive coffee even by Paris standards! It didn't even come with a cookie....

The dining room is bright and airy, overlooking meadows with sheep, goats, horses next to Chateau Versailles. The staff all spoke English, and went out of their way to check on us numerous times. Not overly dressy or stuffy. Very friendly service. Maitre d' is fantastic. Outstanding!

“A good choice of Michelin starred 's lunch after visited Versailles”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

On Apr 2013 , We had arrived the restaurant after finished Versailles visiting by walking , that was a nice view and weather along the way the Au Trianon palace hotel which this restaurant located inside

First thing we met and impressed, was a nice clothing of hotel 's bellboy staff , want to see this kind of clothing some where in Thailand sometime , we arrived a bit early and wait until restaurant open at 12.00 for lunch , really nice hotel

We chose set lunch menu and together ordered 1 bottle of champagne , the food each course was so nice , the atmosphere inside also elegant which price not too much expensive as the dinner time according to Micheline starred std, so value of money that we paid for it

Definitely will dine here again , If I have a chance to travel to Paris again

“An Absolute Must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

The hotel Trianon was taken over by the Hilton Waldorf group several years ago and their renovations to what was a beautiful old world style is incomprehensible to my wife and I. The first time we returned after the renovation we were so take aback that we immediately vowed we would never return.
However, that was before we ate at the Gordon Ramsey restaurant, which was another change brought by the Waldorf people. we have eaten in quite a number of 2 and 3 star restaurants in France and around the world. This one has become one of our favorite and one that always provides some "wow" factor with the dishes. The presentation of the dishes is some of the most creative We have experienced. Not just beautiful, but also inventive. 2 types of fois gras in a dish that displays one at a time, tomato soup in a tomato of other worldly proportions served on a beautiful block of ice, ice cream cones encased in a fog laden dome, and on and on. Oh, and the foods are a taste sensation.

The service is impeccable and the ambience is delightful allowing for a panoramic view of the Versailles gardens. The wine list is comprehensive and there are many affordable selections. The only disappointment on this visit was the lack of a cheese trolley which, by the way, was printed as available on the menu. We were informed that they had discontinued the cheese trolley as there was too much waste as the demand was not brisk enough to consume the cheeses before there was any spoilage. At these prices its is a questionable decision on their part.

Its expensive, but when compared to the dining experience at 2 and 3 star restaurants elsewhere, especially Paris, this is a real bargain.

“English chef conquers French cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

English Chef Gordon Ramsay took on the challenge of outcooking the French on their home turf. In the shadow of the Versailles Palace, his restaurant demonstrates his culinary skills with method francaise cuisine, and he succeeds with flying colors. From the delicate amouse bouche (seafood sorbet ice cream cones) and salad hommard, to the fanciful desert (fruit sorbet in a chocolate dome) the food was delicious and impeccable. The wall size windows allowed unobstructed views of the pastoral countryside giving the setting a sense of tranquility.
