This charming restaurant is tucked in a corner of a side street off of Rue de Rivoli. It was the BEST meal we had in Paris and such a great value. For 25 euros per person, we each received an appetizer, a main dish, dessert, and a bottle of wine to share. For the appetizer, my husband and I chose the thinly sliced farm sausages. Both plates were generously filled and with the basket of freshly sliced baguette, the dinner was off to a great start. The gourmet delight, however, is the beef bourginion! The plate was filled with potaoes, carrots, and very tender and flavorful beef. The beef bourginion melts in your mouth! For dessert, I had creme brûlée and my husband had peach compote..both delicious! Our waiter was so friendly, attentive, and good natured. I was trying to practice my French and he was a willing conversationalist...helping me with forgotten words. The food and the waiter were so outstanding, we went back for a second dinner before leaving Paris. We ate outside and in typical Paris Café fashion, the tables are close together, however, we chatted with two couples from Australia and France...lingering over our meals laughing and talking. The outside tables are located directly on the street and the view is of parked cars, but don't let this deter you! This restaurant has awesome food, great value, and attentive and friendly service.
