I was not a big fan of Duck, but I guess now I am. I had the Duck stew with red wine sauce and it was amazing. My husband had the cabage stuffed with duck and it was also very good. The average price with wine, apetizer and desert is around Eur 40.

“If you seek true duck, you can find it here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

If you'd like to experience more duck options than you can imagine...go here!

This place is awesome, a short walk from the Eiffel Tower and owner that is just the The sweetest lady you could ever meet. The ambiance is nice as well as most of the restaurant is covered with wine box tops, stone corks in addition to the small store in front that sells cheese and an assortment of cheese.

The wine here is reasonable. We had a half bottle of the white juanger? (sp) then we moved into a 2006 red, a tannat grape from the south of France (where all their food derives from) and finished with a Sauternes.

For the food....duck, clearly. You have to. If you don't want duck, might as well go somewhere else. We had the confit and the stew with red wine sauce. Even though the owner recommended the confit which was fried, I thought the stew in red wine sauce was much more tender and generally much better. I would personally recommend any of the ducks in stew, unless of course you're into the fried food thing, then stick with the confit.

Make sure to have the foie gras as well!

“Excellent Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

This small family owned restaurant was filled with locals the first night we went. We loved it so much we returned with friends a few days later. All things duck and goose. The pates and foi gras was superb. Every table had its own toaster and the bread was delicious. If you go, absolutely get the melt-in-your mouth mushrooms. The wine choices were excellent and a good value. The owners and staff were charming and helpful and provided menus in English when requested. My husband and I mentioned we would return to Paris just to eat there again!

“You will enjoy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

This is a well run mom and pop restaurant that caters to tourists. The Parisians are there also, they know where to get the bang for their euro. The toaster on the table is for the foie gras and pate plates which we duly ordered and were not disappointed. My wife's duck confit was unbelievably good. My cassoulet was fine. It was very moist, which I like, but lacked something. The dinner on the whole was very good. The wine prices were very reasonable. The dinner including two appetizers, two entrees, two glasses of wine, and one bottle of wine was €83

“Duck, Duck, Duck....Au Petit Sud Ouest is a total no-brainer. Eat. Here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

We were early and promptly seated. The wine selection was surprisingly great (LaDominique S' Émilion Grand Cru Classé 2002). The environment is warm, the service good & friendly. Most importantly, they have kick-a$$ duck. Love. This. Place.
