“Tourist trap”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

After a long tiring day decided we did not want to walk any more so choice this restaurant, requested a mixed omlette received ham yuck, chips tasted as though they had been fried in the sea very fishy not nice at all, we were ripped off with the wine we were charged for the large carafe when we only had the medium one.

“Great view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

Food and service were very good. I don't understand where the stereotype of Parisians as rude comes from. Anyway, the best thing about this place would be the atmosphere and setting out on the cobble stone patio. Still touristy but a lot less chaotic than the places farther up the hill, closer to Sacre Coeur.

“Perfect food - with a perfect view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2012

Sitting autside this lovely restaurant with a glas of chilled rosé-wine, waiting for a perfectly cooked salmon, must be considered a perfect moment in life.
The view over Paris is stunning , the service is good, the wine and foo is very nice.
I strongly recommend this little restaurant as a perfect place to take a lunch or just a short break when in the Mintmartre area.

“Who said you couldn't eat good food reasonably in Paris?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2012

This place is really a gem, quite unprepossessing from the outside and if you take the same route as we did, as usual round the houses with Maman Davies loudly moaning, can be a walk from Abbesses metro stop. However, if you go the correct route it is just up the hill alongside. Inside, on a very cold January evening, the welcome and the atmosphere could not have been warmer. We were offered a glass of champagne while choosing our menu. We opted for a set menu, which is always a good option, and were not disappointed. The quality of the food and the cooking were very good, this is not a touristy venue but a good homely, proper Paris eaterie.

“Charming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2011

Located adjacent to a cobblestone square, this little restaurant in Montmartre is a wonderful venue for a casual Parisian meal. Sit outside if it is warm enough to do so and enjoy the gorgeous view, as the patio is perched on the hill of Montmartre. As others have said, speak a bit of French for the best service: even if you know only a few halting words, the service staff appreciate the effort and you'll have more smiles and faster service in return than you would otherwise.
If you haven't tried them before, order the escargot. Don't be put off by the fact that these are snails. Drenched in a hedonistic garlic butter, these morsels will melt in your mouth and have your tastebuds crying out for more. Indulge in a glass or two of champagne as well, after all: you are in Paris!
