“superbly prepared fish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

bustling, elegant seafood restaurant - wait staff very amiable and interactive, food was well prepared and presented. The pumpkin soup (veloute de potiron) was served with marscapone and white truffle - very tasty. Roast cod (cabillaud) with morels and fresh spinach - superb - cod was perfectly prepared.

“Food nice service bad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Great food... How ever the service was a little to be desired..felt like we were getting rushed out the door from the moment we walked in. Mind you we did have a reservation.

Food was of a high standard however if you would Were after a high end restaurant in Paris then this is not it!!! Staff were friendly however they hover over you waiting for you to finish your meal even when you haven't finished it. Just very very rushed.

“Very good but expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

Very good restaurant, we have a dinner for 2.
The location is very good and also the service.
Very interesting courses with fish cooked in different and particular ways.

The only bad thing is that almost no waiter speaks English and It was a bit hard for us who did not speak French to take orders.

“Delicious Dinner, Excellent Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

As my first restaurant in Paris, Petrus may have spoiled me. Although the menu was limited, it was varied and heavy on seafood selections. Sole Meunière was prepared perfectly, as was the lobster salad which featured avocado (no lettuce), and about 1/2 a lobster. Beef filet with pepper sauce arrived cooked exactly as requested and the pepper sauce was not overpowering. Desserts were a dream, especially the vanilla millefeuille. We fought over the latter and I was forced to share it in exchange for some apple tart which was also delicious. At $200 euros for 4 (excluding wine) it was on the expensive side but acceptable.

A note on the service. I have never seen people move so quickly or efficiently. And although I was nervous about my limited ability to understand French (and I expected to be abused because if it) the staff was patient, almost gracious. They provided an English language menu.

“Great food, ambiance and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

A great experience, wonderful food, quick smiling professional waiters, good ambiance (very lively but not loud). We went there with friends, but it could be great for business of couples as well.
I had carpaccio de st jacques with truffles and riz de veau, and red berries for dessert - everything was really good.
