“Quiet, cosy and reasonably prices restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

Husband and I both had the pepper steak and we we're plesantly suprised how generous the serving was for the price and how tasty it was.
Complimentary bread and mushroom or garlic creamy soup was offered and they were so very yummy. The bread was better than what we had come across in our dining experiences in Italy.
Service was very quick and the waiters we're friendly and seemed happy to be at work (unlike service in Italian restaurants/shops).
It was a little dark inside & the ceiling to get to the restaurant area was so short in height it felt like you we're walking into a cave. But once you reach the restaurant area, the darkness of the restaurant makes it feel cosy, warm and relaxing.
We will definitely be recommending our friends & family here. Another great find in Paris.

“Best lunch we had during a week in Paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Despite its proximity to Notre Dame and its halo of gee-gaw stands selling teeshirts and plastic Eiffel Towers, this restaurant is outstanding. It manages to attract lots of locals as well as wandering visitors. The dining room is pretty small and crowded, and you have to be lucky to get a table at peak hours. We had a great lunch there, arriving just as the mid-day crush started to dissipate.

The service was fast, the waitress was friendly, the food was reasonably priced and delicious (especially the dessert), the portions were large, and we both walked out with big smiles. If you're nearby, don't be tempted by those crappy croque monsieur stands that sell rubbish to tourists. Go here instead!

“Gorgeous little restaurant, delicious food and friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

We were staying in an apartment on the same street and from the review on Google decided to give it a go and were so glad we did. Just wish we were not going home the next day so we could have tried some other dishes.

My husband and I both had the steak with foi gras sauce and shared a creme brulee. Both dishes were just perfect and the restaurant also serves a little shot glass of creamy zucchini on arrival (also delicious). Atmosphere is lovely as it is in a building which has stood on this street since the French revolution. The service was very friendly and relaxed and the prices quite reasonable. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Paris.

“lovely meal for a reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Ate here on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was already fairly busy even though it was only 7pm when we arrived. it is a small French bistro close to Notre Dame with a good range of choice on the menu and there was also a special of the day available for each course. We were surprised to be given an amuse bouche before the meal and the food was all very well prepared. the quality and portion size was excellent for the price.
