“Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

After reading all the reviews, we decided to go for the early sitting at 7pm to avoid hanging around and also get a view of Paris in the light as well as the dark (the month of March gives this opportunity).

Food was good, view spectacular, service was good....

Very expensive...but as a one off for my wife's birthday, it was worth it.

“Good food in an exceptional place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

I had the chance to have dinner in this restaurant and it is exceptional. The food is not excellent but is nice, and the views are simply incredible. I recommend booking at a time that allows you to see the sunset. Incredible. The Eiffel Tower illuminated is also a great experience. My recommendation is to order the Menu Grand Écran. It is expensive (about 120 € per person) but the restaurant ensures you that you will have a table near the windows and it also includes the Champagne, which is very expensive if you order it separately. Conclusion: good food (not excellent), expensive restaurant (the food do not deserve the price you pay) in an incredible location.

“Disappointing: food, view and "service"”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

For our wedding anniversary we've booked the most expensive table near the window, but we were seated in such a manner that one of us had the window behind their back and the other one was facing a huge metal construction covering most of the view together with the Eiffel tower, side by side with other clients leaving us feel uncomfortable.

The food was quite disappointing. Foie gras only remotely reminded real 100% foie gras and tasted like some diluted meat paste. Potato puree wasn't properly mashed and had an unpleasant texture and taste. Deserts did not taste good neither.

Waiters kept on ignoring us, they held our wine and champagne bottles away and did not care to refill our glasses unless we'd get their attention and remind them to.

Shortly after leaving the restaurant, we realized that we forgot our camera lens cap in the restaurant and called them. We were told that it was found and will be waiting for us in the reception with a note in our name. The next day we spent 3 hours to get back to the restaurant just to be told by a different team that they knew nothing about our lens cap. They did not bother to contact people from the other shift and treated us as if we did not know what we were talking about. To make us leave faster, they took our number and promised to get back to us within 1 day. No one has contacted us, so we called them back. We have spoken to the same person who has reassured us that he and his colleague (Karim and Isabelle) still had our lens cap. They did not know why their colleagues from the other shift did not find it the other day and reassured us that we could still come to pick it up the day after. And after we spend another 3 hours to come back to the restaurant one more time, we were ONCE AGAIN told that our lens cap could not be found. Even though Karim and Isabelle remembered storing it in a "safe" place. We find it totally outrageous how they have reassured us TWO times that they still had it (after our first unsuccessful trip, we even asked them to check if they were sure about it!), just to tell us they had no idea what has happened. Borderline rude and unprofessional, this kind of "service" is totally unacceptable for any decent restaurant.

“A must, at least once”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

A restaurant that belongs to the "must dos" in Paris. It is definitely the restaurant with the best view, better to watch the Eiffel Tower twinkle than sitting in it! The panorama is breathtaking and truly a wow experience. The food is refined, very nicely presented and tasty. The service staff we had was perfect, very attentive and always available.

The only thing to know is, that reservations are possible either for the first service or for the second service. This means eating during the first service might be a bit rushed as people will wait for the table to get free for them.

“Most rude hostess in Paris!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

The place is in all the current magazines. Went for coctails and the famed view. But upon exiting the elevator pn the 56th floor was overwhelmed by the smell of sewage coming from the men's room. The hostess declared there was no room at the bar for our party of four, but became almost hostile when I asked (in french) if we could just walk to the window to see the view quickly. We left and would not go back.
