“The best foie gras in Paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

Not far form Tour Eiffel or Invalides. On the XVth quartier. I really like this restaurant. Typical 'parisien' : small, good decoration, good service and excellent foie gras. The menu is around 40€ and even if the quantities of food are not very large, the dishes quality and original ingredients are worth it...specially for their foie gras. They even gave the option to buy it in small slices, at least during Christmas time. Wine is quite expensive, but you will always have the beer or water jar option. If you are only two people you might be sitten with someone else. Reservation is advised. Enjoy it !

“A suprisingly nice experience.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2012

Our expectations was on the low side. Didnt know much about the restaurant.
We wanted to visit a "real" restaurant in our neighborhood where I thougth there was a real chef cooking, and that there was a nice relation between price and quality. We also had our 5 year old rather active daugther with us. Je The...Me was no dissapointment. Good food. Classical french cooking. Good wines. Great service and nice atmosphere. We really liked the chefs combinations and menu, and the wines we were recommended was talently picked. To top it off we experienced great service. We would love to return.

“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2012

We came here the first night in Paris as this was recommended by our concierge and even though it was a bit hard to find, it was well worth the trip. The food was pristine. The service was great, we arrived early and were lucky to get a table upstairs, when we arrived we were a bit surprised that we were the only ones in the Restaurant, but soon the dining room filled up and became more lively. The kidneys and sweat breads were outstanding. The baba rum dessert wasn't really our cup of tea... I dont mind rum, like at all but this was very very rummy and it comes with a bottled of special spiced rum on the side to add even more. The dessert was prepared nicely but for me that was the first thing I will not order again.
But again for the kidneys and sweat breads I have a new bench mark, they were out of this world.

This quaint little restaurant in the 15th offers a new twist on old classics peppered with inspired ingenuity.

The highly educated, yet not stuffy, wait staff will guide you through the surprisingly impressive and complimentary wine list, and find you something to suit your immaculately prepared, favour sporting meal.

Reasonably priced with invaluable ambience, be sure to stop by with your significant other for a night that's sure to impress.

“Good food, good service, interesting setting.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2012

Pumpkin soup with Foie Gras truly delicious (the recommended wine went v well with it; waiter seemed very knowledgeable about wines by the way).
Pikeperch (Sandre) als very good; The subtle not overpowering 'accompagnements' worked v well with it.
Same for the St Jacques; nice.
Deserts were a bit of a let-down (as the bar had by now been set high).
The moelleux au chocolat (molten chocolate cake) had a centre of passion fruit; but so much of that it is spoiled the cake a bit (was more like eating warm marmelade); still OK though.
The brioche with mango slices suffered from an somewhat unripe mango (which should have been avoided).
Teas by Mariage Freres good as expected.
Champagne delicious but at Eur 14 a glass it's rather steep for this type of restaurant.
Waiter extremely friendly. Took his time to explain things about the menu and clearly 'cared'.
Setting is not to everyone's taste perhaps; I personally liked it. It's an old restransformed groceryshop with beautiful old floor and panelling/racks. My fiancee found it 'cluttered' with too many bric-a-brac objects ...which is not entirely untrue.
Would go back.
