Enjoyed a delightful, sumptuous lunch at Auberge du Mouton Blanc (also know as "Le Mouton Blanc"). This is a popular restaurant, and reservations are encouraged. We lucked out to get one of the few unreserved places at lunch time. The place was hopping busy by 1:30 pm, and a bit noisy. But we still managed a conversation without too much trouble hearing each other.
Nevertheless, service was prompt and attentive at all times. Filet of sea bass (18 Euros) on top of creamy hot risotto was a huge hit. We also had a traditional delicious omelette with salad (9 Euros). The restaurant has a nice wine list, but I was hosted and thus do not know the prices. The overall menu offered a nice selection of choices for starters and main courses. We elected not to have dessert, but the espresso was just great!
The restaurant is located in an upper middle class area with many nearby boutiques, with efficient bus service from the #62 or Metro stop: Michel-Ange Auteuil
