“Ideal for the budget traveler!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

I was very pleased with this stay. My 2 adult sons and I stayed in the room for 3 people and it was perfect for sleeping and showering. That's about it! If you want a large, spacious room with all the amenities, you'll have to pay at least 4 times this amount. I was pleased with our stay because we only slept in the room at night and were gone all day.

Only negative - It isn't extremely close to the metro station.

We just came back from Paris and stayed 5 nights at Etap Vincennes. Our room was small but clean. Private shower and toilet. The staff were friendly. It's close to the metro and there is a small grocery store close by. My only complaint was that the beds weren't too comfortable. But we only paid 66 euros per night for a family of 3.

Overall, we really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We paid 60 Euros per night, plus 5 euros per person per breakfast. The room feels really new, IKEAish, minimal and practic. Nothing more than basic, and it's perfect.
Except - The toilet and shower (2 separate cells) are in the entrance to the room, the basin is in the end, near the window. Just imagine going to the toilet, and then cross the entire room to wash your hands, lovely.
And we couldn't stand and understand why the window can not be opened on room 915.
We asked about it from the first minute we arrived to the hotel and saw the room.
We've been told that it just can't be opened, and that the hotel has a refreshing system.
This system wouldn't work, anyway, and it was just terrible enter the room every time when we came back, since it was so smelly, when all was closed.
on our third night we came back late, and noticed that other windows in our floor are open!
We talked to the woman in the reception, and she said, "Yes, there are rooms that the window can be opened." Why nobody told us that until now, when we asked at least 3 times before?!
We asked if we can move to another room, and she said yes, in the morning.
Not to mention that no one offered us to move on the following day.
I think it's inhuman to place people in a room without a window.

Room Tip: Not room 915

A nice place to stay in Paris when you're on a budget. The location is good. It is very near the Saint Mande station so it is easy to go around Paris, since every major attractions in the city is connected by the metro (with just few walks). The room has all your basic needs... a bed, a tv, a hot shower, and a toilet. Perfect for someone who just need the room to sleep after a whole day of exploring Paris. The room is clean too. I will definitely be back!

If you are not planning to spend most of your visit staying in a hotel room, that's the hotel for you. To me, the hotel was just a place to rest at night after spending the whole day visiting attractions and getting around.

Ibis chain offers very good value for the money, just the basics you would need, clean rooms, comfy beds and nothing more. As for this hotel specifically, it is near a metro station which is a great advantage, there are also many little restaurants around to have a quick breakfast before you begin your daily journeys.

The hotel is perfect for budget travellers and those who only use a hotel room to sleep in. I went with my wife, sister in law and 28 month old and we all stayed in a triple room.

The room was small but well designed, for example tehre was no bedside table but a little shelf big enough for an alarm clock etc. The room was a little plasticky though and felt a bit like an Ikea designers dream.

Breakfast awasn't included and we didn't try it because there is a patisserie on the way to the metro station which was only a 5 minute walk.

It's near the end of line 1 on te metro so all the main tourist sites were within 20 minutes and there is a bus that takes you directly into central paris too. The area itself is very nice with local restaurants, patisseries and fruit shops. We came accross an excellent market by the metro station on the sunday morning we were there.

Quick tip because we got a little lost tryng to find the hotel when we first got there. When you come out of the metro, take the road which has a Staples on the corner and a left at the end. This avoids a busy roundabout and road.

Overall it was excellent value for the 60 Euros we paid and I would stay here again.

Our family of three stayed here and the room was really tiny. We are used to bigger rooms but it served our needs. Our daughter was only 2 at the time so it worked out okay.
