This is a local canteen for those parisians who live in the 13th district of Paris.
Village Tao-Tao is an institution and has been around for a while.
I visited it the other day, after many many years of absence.
If there is one thing you MUST try there, it is the PEKING DUCK which is served in the traditional way: skin first with the pancakes, and then the rest of the duck cooked with brocoli and served with rice or noodles.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is nice: you really feel like you are in China. It's big and busy.
I love it.
Half-duck is about €22. Whole duck is about €44. Well worth it!
Need a dessert? Try the "Grande Muraille" (Great Wall): banana doughnut with coconut ice cream and whipped cream. I really enjoyed it.
