We made a reservation for Saturday night. This restaurant is highly recommended and is located on the posh Avenue Victor Hugo. Parking was not easy but not impossible either. I would suggest that using a taxi would save you some unnecessary aggravation.
The interior is Art Deco, quite stark and cold, the tables are elegantly set but the overall atmosphere is rather uninviting. The staff is very attentive, professional but somewhat distant. When we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty and we were sited close to the door. When we asked to be moved to a better location were told that every other table was reserved. This was not the case since when we left a couple of hours later, one or two tables were still unoccupied.
The food is good but not exceptional. There is an ample choice of very fresh oysters, the fish (I ordered a grilled sole) was well prepared and the desserts are, as expected, tasty. The wine list is not extensive but it is adequate.
The main reasons why I do not rate this eatery higher are easily explained. The atmosphere is more conducive to conducting business rather than enjoying a meal with friends and family; for the same price I can name several other restaurants that offer superior fares; the inflexibility of the staff to change the sitting was not appreciated and finally, while the address is great, parking is an adventure.
