Description: Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi is found just steps from Notre Dame and serves food made from only the very freshest of produce. A good choice for gourmets and food lovers, here you can indulge in snails cooked in a creamy brie sauce, cheese fondant with honeyed almonds and walnuts or foie gras and apple chutney for starters followed by a fabulous fresh fish of the day or for meat lovers the delicious veal with ravigotte sauce; coq au vin or chateaubriand with pepper sauce. Dessert should not be missed either. Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi also has a terrace that is great for al fresco dining.

“Cosy restaurant serving delicious food in the Latin Quarter”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

We hadn't booked and were very lucky to get a table on a Saturday evening with a wait of only 10 minutes. A cosy restaurant that had lots of atmosphere. There appeared to be as many locals as there were foreigners which was a good sign. The food was delicious and the service was efficient, particularly given how busy the restaurant was. We'll definitely return on our next visit to Paris.

“Enjoyable Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013 via mobile

A great location and food of a high quality. The restaurant was packed the night we were there, probably more tourists than locals. However, this is not your typical touristy style restaurant. The three of us each had a different main and they were all very well-prepared and presented. The staff were efficient, attentive and pleasant. In all we had a very relaxing and satisfying evening here. Not expensive, in our view. Recommend it.

“Three out of Three”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012 via mobile

Third visit. Same food. Same service. Same friendliness. Same lack of fuss. Same quality - excellent. Also, easy wine selections. The three guests - excluding me - each rated it a 9 without hesitation. I look forward to my fourth visit.

“Excellent food but the service could improve”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

I fell compelled to give this restaurant a five because the food was outstanding. My wife had a shrimp salad to start and then free-range chicken with mashed potatoes. I had a Camembert appetizer and then duck for my main course. My son had the monkfish with proscuitto. All our meals were perfectly prepared and delicious. We enjoyed some champagne and excellent desserts to top off a wonderful meal. They offer menus in French or in English to make it easier to pick your selection.

Another good reason to visit this restaurant is the location. In the Latin quarter, steps from St. Germain Boulevard, it is also less than 10 minutes from Notre Dame. It's a fun area to walk around before or after your meal.

My one complaint was the service. While the servers were certainly civil, we felt rushed. The small restaurant was crowded and maybe they wanted to turn the table over quickly, but they were removing plates before everyone was done at the table. This is a big "no no" in my book. My wife is still eating and they're removing my son and my plates. Certainly, this does not make for an ideal experience.

Nevertheless, this was a great meal in a fabulous location. You can't go wrong here.

“Can't wait to go back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

Lucked out on a Sunday night without a reservation and because they had calves liver as a special. Nom nom nom. Tarte tatin was excellent too. Can't wait to go back for the boeuf Borg. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for sometimes. Calves liver portion could have been bigger and came with no veg - not sure if that was intentional or if we were supposed to order sides separately. We weren't asked. 25 Euro steep if you have to pay sides extra. What was there was fantastic.
