Le Petit Pontoise is a typical Parisian bistro, bustling, crowded and serving traditional fare. But it is done with flair, and the occasional contemporary tweak. Our servers were good-natured and most accommodating. As it was our last night there, I went for real tradition and order duck confit. It came with a generous slice of sauteed duck liver (heaven!), with the meat shredded and served on a bed of delicious mashed potato. For dessert the Tarte tatin filling was pretty good, but the pastry could use some help.We found the prices to be reasonable for central Paris, and the house wines just fine. Only quibble - every single customer in the crammed restaurant was english-speaking.
