“great little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

one of my favourite places to go and have a nice cocktail, good food and to sit and watch the world go by next to the Louvre. Also nice that it is not a tourist trap and well used by the city dwellers.

“relax with a glass of wine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

Extremely romantic / cool / fancy location between Louvre museum and Saint-Germain of Auxerrois Church
Tired waiters
Strict restaurant closing hours, wouldn't bring us even a small plate of cheeses to go with the wine because it was precisely 00.30 when we ordered (the time they stop the food service).

“A Superb Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

Located close to the Louvre, this restaurant serves excellent meals with style and grace. The setting is elegant, the attention from the staff unequaled. This restaurant was a genuine surprise as it is located in an area where there are many tourist traps. But since the French populate this place on a regular basis it lived up to the expectations that were originated when we first went into the location. A must to eat there if you are near the Louvre. You will remember the food and the setting for years to come.

“Swanky Respite from the maddening crowds”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

After the Lourve, we walked in the bright sun to Le Fumoir for our first meal since arriving.
Our friend in Paris recommended this restaurant as slightly swanky, more locals patronage and good food; he was absolutely correct.
We took a carafe of white wine which was refreshing.
Hubby started with a good salmon tartare while I had herring on tuna mayo - very good. Then was the pork with celeriac veg while mine was fried sardine. Both dishes were good but the highlight was the herring and the soon to arrive cal horns chocolate cake with kumquat sauce served with vanilla ice cream.mmmm...divine

“Great spot near the Louvre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

Had a fantastic dinner here - the coques appetizer was amazing! Very lively and convivial crowd - it was nice to be a larger venue after dining cheek to cheek, table to table at small bistros. Filled with locals - one of the best meals we had in Paris.
