“wonderful restaurant for dining in company”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

this is a recommended place if you like a comfy place where good food and excellent service is extended to all your guests. Dishes are first class even if you wander away from the seafood. The seating is comfortable and furniture/environmemt is beautiful with red leather armchairs and polished wood panelling. The 35 EUR menu, wine included has all you can want. The cheese platter is a meal in itself and has some rare cheeses like the Livarot.

“Almost Perfect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Had dinner on two different occasions at this very good restaurant, just around the corner from Le Meriden Etoile and Concorde Lafayette hotels. Both times I took advantage of their "Business" menu, which is four courses, an aperitif, a half bottle of wine, and coffee. Fabulous food and a great deal! I had oysters, duck (done perfectly), a cheese course, and dessert for aorund $50 US. The other time I had their rump steak with a divine roqueforte sauce. The only reason I don't rate it excellent is that the wine with the meal just wasn't up to the level of everything else. It was a very ordinary merlot-cabernet blend, and while not terrible, it was certainly no better than average. When I commented on it to my waiter, he just gave a Gallic shrug.

“Were are glad we stopped in!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

We were in Paris for Valentine's Day week. As we were walking to and from our hotel we kept passing this resturant. On our last day in Paris we stopped in and it turned out to be the best place we stopped on our trip. All of the staff were extremly friendly and one of the waiters made me laugh so hard me face hurt. We had champagne the waitress picked the wine for the meal. We ordered 2, one person platters that could have easily been for 4 people. It was a lot of seafood. They had menus in English.

“Never disappointed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

As I always stay in the Porte Maillot neighborhood, I always have my first dinner there.
One must choose their classic dishes. Seafood, fish and beef.
I usualy start with Whelks, oysters clams and a tourteau. Then have a traditional Dover Sole Meuniere with mashed potatoes. To conclude one of the best rum baba, the bottle of St James rum is left on the table.
As mentioned before, I never had a disappointing experience. The service is fast and attentive. Great value.
See you this spring.

“A chic brasserie, but lousy service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

This brasserie-style restaurant is wonderfully located for those coming into Paris from the business centers west of Paris (La Défense, Neuilly) or working on the west side of Arc de Triomphe. The decor is nice, typical of this "brasserie chic" style. One has to know however that brasserie often means that tables are close from each other.
Food is adequate : not bad but not great, in most cases it's fine but lacks personality (but in a brasserie you expect to get traditional meals, not creative ones). As often in a Paris brasserie, seafood is very fresh and we had a wonderful plateau of oysters (at a reasonable price). For some reason (is it because we came in at 6.30pm ?) we had to wait more than half hour to get our starters (a soup, a salad and oysters) but the main courses were served quickly enough.
The main negative point is service. Attendants are broadly nice, but sometimes lack elegance or competence : the fish soup was served as a side dish to its own side plates (cheese and corail) ! Also, it is not nice to have to be subjected to discussions between attendants trying to resolve their own work or organizational issues - in brief, they are not (not always) to the standard.
Overall however, a nice meal in a nice environment. We might well come back to give it another chance.
