“Brilliant, an unforgettable Parisian experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

Our third lunchtime visit to La Tour d'Argent, and something that has become a regular and very special part of our holidays in France. The restaurant is very formal, but in a way that is a pleasure to be a part of rather than pretentious. The location is superb with views over the Seine and Notre Dame. Service is impeccable, knowledgable and helpful. We selected from the two or three course set lunch menu, and this time I was determined to order my duck 'a point' rather than taking the cowardly 'well done' option as in the past. It was slightly pink inside and absolutely perfect. Not an everyday prospect at about $500 for two including 2 half bottles of excellent wine, but WELL worth it.

“Le salon privé de La Tour d'Argent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014 via mobile

It's the second time that I organized a diner for 25 people at LTDA. It was again a great moment. Everything was perfect. The "Salon Privé" is a must when you want to organize this kind of diner .... The view is one of the most beautiful of Paris and if the food is great ... The service too! Thanks LTDA for this incredible moments!

“Amazing duck and view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

Was traveling in France the last few weeks and had some amazing meals, and this was in the top experiences ever (Le Louis XV in Monte Carlo was very special as well). The service was excellent from the moment we walked in until we jumped in a cab to the Bristol. The view of Notre Dame from our window table was breathtaking and only improved as dusk settled over Paris and the food was an experience never to be forgotten. The duck, there are just no words, to express how great. My wife had a wonderful sea bass as well that was prepared to the same standards. The wine list was the largest I have ever seen (except maybe for the Everest Room in Chicago) but we were led to a wonderful white and red that perfectly fit the meal. Very expensive but you just can't put a price on meal like this. Will for sure go again on next visit to Paris.

“Once in a lifetime experience a second time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary on the 14th of June...we could not have selected better. The service was warm and attentive, the setting simply beautiful with a view on Notre-Dame, the meal was divine and the wine card beats the encyclopedie Lichine!!!

The foie gras a la cuillere is to die for and the quenelles de brochets simply unbelievable. We shared the classic duck with the blood sauce which I am sure is unmatched in the world. Their version of crepes flambées is a wonderful conclusion to a great meal. The wine recommendations were a perfect match.

The cost...why worry, you won't take it with you into the next world...just relish the experience.

We will be back for our 50th!

“Celebratory lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

We booked well in advance (a necessity) for I wanted a window seat and the views across to Notre Dame are magnificent. I have taken my boat through Paris and to see the Seine from a different perspective was beautiful.
The occasion was to celebrate the 40th anniversary of my joining my employers and they knew nothing about it!
Opening with champagne and followed by an excellent Bordeaux to compliment the duck gave the ambience we wanted . It had to be done in a day so 1st class travel on Eurostar was a necessity.
Unless one likes duck do not go here they cook it and presnt it in so many ways it is an education and the certificate of authenticity may be a little gimmicky but is a nice memento.
The final highlight was to be invited by the Patron (this was before he died) to join him for coffee and cognacon his rooftop garden overlooking this wonderful city.
A memorable day complimented by a superb meal, excellent wine and tremendous serv with coffee and cognac being the iceing on the cake
